Not just this, they saw the fricking future coming years ago with the whole Quiz/ Stay Indoors thing.

It’s amazing to me how much changing your habits and getting out of a situation where it is hard not to drink can help with controlling drinking. A couple of years ago I was really struggling with drinking too much and then I moved in on my own and could choose not to keep booze in the house which helped. What also

I think podcasts are particularly tricky to do a definitive best of list for. There are thousands of them across a massive range of topics and I’d bet good money even the people making this list don’t listen to the same ones.

I’ve enjoyed the Bugle a lot this year. They did some funny episodes about the crappy handling of the pandemic. I like the one titled “Are we key workers?” Also for people who preferred the classic Andy Zaltzman/John Oliver iteration of the Bugle - John Oliver is the only co-host on last week’s episode.

This sounds brilliant, why have I never heard of it. It also sounds like it would be right up my Mum’s alley and I’ve never heard her mention it either.

Well I like it.

Next thing you know Zodiac Motherfucker will be popping up....

Oh cool, I thought Kinja had taken you....

No shade to Zachary Quinto but I was pretty tired of Sylar after a couple of seasons. That weird storyline where they tried to make him part of the Petrelli family for a bit didn’t do much for me either.

Watch Charmed (original one).

I was really glad Peter won, he was definitely the best baker of the remaining three and the most consistent across the whole show. I did feel like it was a bit pointless having Laura in the final over Hermine and it was frustrating that she never managed to nail the presentation and taste on a bake for the last

On what we’ve seen Peter ought to win. Dave is lacklustre and Laura can’t seem to nail both the taste and presentation on most of her bakes.

Not so much here in the UK ;-)

Don’t get the point of trolling Laura when everyone knows the show was filmed ages ago.

I don’t even think the example version of the horn looked that good.

I was kind of hoping Dave would go this week and was gutted when Hermine got booted instead. The judging definitely seems more episode by episode this season and within that it seems like you can have a terrible week so long as you do okay with the showstopper challenge.

I liked the jelly cakes but the mini cheesecakes were a bit boring. With the Pond Pudding, I have no objection to them finding tricky bakes from the past for everyone to do but there must be some that taste better than a steamed suet pudding with a whole lemon in it.

The writing style could be pretty funny though because Alex was so nonchalant about bad stuff happening to him. “Alex saw a shark swimming towards him. This was bad.”

This whole thing was incredibly like a plotline from Arrested Development.

I didn’t feel as strongly about the ice-cream cake showstopper challenge. Even if there was a heatwave, the contestants still were aware it was summer and could have probably worked out that it would be a bad idea to put the ice-cream on the outside of the cake. Also Hermine, Peter and Marc all managed to pull it off
