Bring back squigglevision!
This week’s episode was genuinely tense because I like Laura and Mark but I was relieved Laura got to stay.
I hate it when the bakers ignore bits of the brief. That was how Manon got herself sent home that time. Also people who go on this show need to practice their choux pastry and creme pat. Both always seem to come up a couple of times a season at least.
I like the Hitchcock version of it quite a bit (despite it being spoiled by the production code).
I was really surprised by how much everyone struggled with the brownies. I guarantee though if someone had just done a relatively simple one, they would have been dinged for not making enough effort.
I would only be on board for this if it features one episode where zombie Deb drags Dexter to the bottom of the sea.
If they were going to make a miniseries from a Lois Duncan novel, I wish they would have gone with ‘Daughters of Eve’.
I thought I’d seen all of Mitchell and Webb but I’ve never seen this sketch before. Thanks for the link.
Mrs Danvers looks far too glam and modern in that picture. She looks like she’s telling her she’ll never make it in banking or something.
I was glad Linda did well this week, it was nice to see her win the technical. I thought the rainbow bagels looked hideous though. The colours were more like something you’d get in rock.
I liked the signature and technical challenges this week but I’m really over the challenges where they have to build stuff out of biscuits. To be fair before this season, I watched a lot of the specials with celebrities and there seemed to be a lot of making structures out of gingerbread on there.
In the UK (where I live) the infection rate has gone up quite a lot recently (probably doesn’t help that the schools have re-opened) so it seems like we probably need more drastic measures in place than closing restaurants and bars at 10pm. But the government are also worried about further harming the economy so we…
I’m glad the notes mention the sketch with Matt Lucas as Boris Johnson was cut, I was curious if US audiences would get that bit. In the UK the show was pre-empted by Boris Johnson announcing some further anti-Covid measures that are pretty nonsensical (bars and restaurants have to close at 10pm but can still open) so…
Am I the only person who can never load the comments on those articles?
Same here. I just think the show was very much of its time and now people “secretly knowing the truth” just conjures up different stuff.
Thirties now. Time marches on and all that.
Yeah this is why the X-Files hasn’t aged well for me.
Kinkhole sounds like if Clickhole made a porn site parody spinoff.
I’m mad at letter writer one for how anticlimactic that was damn it. After all the stuff I’ve read in SL, this terrifying kink is.....toenail painting?
