This is very bad logic. Sometimes outsiders can notice bad things that have become normalised to the people in the situation like ignorance, arrogance and the sacrifice of young people’s lives because some people can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality.

It’s interesting and the acting and production are wonderful sometimes.

May the Lord Open My Budweiser

I’d add in Alexis Bledel, I’m curious to see if they continue to write her the same way once she’s in Canada. They could use Emily to explore the ways it can be hard to leave normalised violence behind.

I had to reply with this because it hasn’t even been one day:

The Bugle was good this week (I love Alice Fraser) but good lord it was bleak.

I don’t think it’s that surprising that students who were victims of a school shooting would be in favour of gun control.

Well my country is currently having its own problems separating reality from fantasy (Brexit).

But that’s incredibly sad as well. The “fuck you, I’ll get mine if I have to kill for it” is not compatible with society or civilisation.

The worst thing is, I get the impulse. I moved to a bad area in the UK because that was what I could afford. I’m glad I don’t have access to firearms. Fear is a dangerous thing.

Those students have more to say that’s worth hearing than most US news talking heads frankly. I say this as someone who is not from the US and doesn’t live there but our news follows your news anyway.

As an outsider the gun thing is baffling.

Why I fear having kids in a nutshell......

I think he’s decided that now people have a low opinion of him anyway, he’s just going to say the worst things he can think of without trying to make them nuanced any more or balance the argument.

But that’s the whole AV Club, man.....

Some are funny (in an intentional non-horrific way even).

Ironically heaps of us came here and stayed for the incisive and funny comments here, back in the day.

Yeah I actually don’t enjoy places that go mad with portions. No room for dessert and there are a couple of places with nice food but I go home with stomach ache every time because it’s hard to leave food you are enjoying.

I used to get really sensitive as a young teenager about this. I looked younger than 13.
