If I ran a restaurant I would just have lighter portions on the menu for a slight discount. I know various people of all ages who only have light appetites.

Recursion is cool and wonderful :-)

I think this is why this episode worked quite well as near-tragedy. Chidi knew his limits and knew he couldn’t push past them.

It depends how broad the definition of harm is. I think I’ve seen a lot of bad behaviour in the work place just arising from people by necessity having to be penned up with people they would not otherwise choose to go near.

My handwave is that Mindy’s idea must have been really good. It doesn’t bother me personally. Although everyone does seem to be in purgatory in some sense. The “real” Good Place didn’t seem that great.

To be fair, many of us have to convince ourselves we do important work in order to continue going into work.

I think her death stopped her rattling up the points deductions that would have doomed her and cancelled out her charity idea points.

Next Vogue will be writing about fashion......

(Brit talking here) I usually find the Australian accent very, very distinct from various UK ones.

It would have been almost more effective not to show their last moments together or to have Michael zap Chidi instantly to “rip off the bandaid”.

Tahani’s story intrigues me though; hers seems to be leading up to needing to be okay alone and to truly accept herself and then Shaun/Shawn/Sean has found this person who is going to keep forcing her to confront her insecurities. Also she’s interesting because as the story goes at the moment, she doesn’t have

I don’t mind it this time because it feels like they varied the theme. Also I think rebooting one person of a pair in love is quite a bit crueller and darker than both of them losing their memories.

I think just Chidi being rebooted is much, much crueller and is going to place a load of stress on Eleanor. And the last two people are not even in yet.

I revived my Netflix subscription to watch this again.

Along similar lines I think such people are school bullies who didn’t grow out of it.

I joke but I had some really scarring and nasty early job interview experiences. There was one particular one, where it seemed like the person concerned postively relished a) rejecting me and b) giving a lot of very unconstructive criticism.*

The moderation on TWoP was not light touch but back in the day it led to some quality discussions and they were quite good at stomping on inter-poster drama.

It isn’t all their fault. Certainly no-one ever took me aside and said “Hey kid, you might have passed some exams and written some nice essays but if you think your interviewers will be impressed by this/want to hear all your opinions, you are badly mistaken. Offer to help and seem really impressed and awed by the

I know you didn’t intend it this way but this reads a lot darker on a cursory scroll down given the start of the thread was about suicide ;-)

Maybe it was but loads of the other women in the hospital looked more like normal working people (no professional hair and makeup/look like they did a 18 hour shift). It might have been the one where Elliott was getting up at 5am to do full hair and makeup.
