Heigl is a decent actor. I’m not going to say being the best thing about Roswell is the pinnacle of it all ;-) But she was the best thing about that show. She could make you feel something for her character.

Let’s switch it to “Nice Person” and agree that anyone who is just nice to somebody to get sex and then gets angry if the other person doesn’t want it, isn’t that nice.
Three words: JD’s “friendzone” bullshit. Way more offensive to me than Todd, who needs help.
Thank you. I’ve found myself thanking other people online for being able to express a differing point of view without calling me every name under the sun or implying I am a terrible person. It’s sad in some ways that it has become so rare it needs to be said :-)
On this point, people’s opinions can change over time. And I’ve read so many of these interviews with actors or writers where someone writing the sub-heading or headline picks the most controversial statement out of context, giving the impression the person had a go at something or someone out of nowhere.
Where it gets murky though is that people need to earn a living and sometimes have to work places that do have issues that should be brought to light. Also scripts can change and direction and production might mean actors get surprised (in a negative way) when they watch completed work back.
That’s just the necessary flattery you have to employ when dealing with someone who has more power than you. You also see it a lot if you read English people trying to criticise what a monarch was up to in the past. Even with the flattery/blaming advisers, it was in the mildest possible terms, a bit risky.
Jennifer Lawrence has built a reputation and has a list of work that means she can choose her projects carefully but that isn’t the general situation.
This is where Kinja and the linked site business has really killed the AVC. What do people who post incoherent abuse that stays in pending need to be on here for?
What if anything, do you enjoy watching?
Maybe Shawn’s thinking is that they didn’t really become better people so he might see them as a hinderance to four new humans? I’m assuming that unrepentant demons are pretty cynical and he thinks they are doomed any which way (and he might be planning to cheat).
Didn’t one of the earlier episodes have some handwave-y line about people all appearing a similar early/mid thirties age in the Good Place? It also makes sense for a faux-heaven, you would want to be fully-formed but not either too young or much older and frail.
That’s totally something Shawn would do. Also it’s a cool way to make Chidi question whether he is a good person/can improve.
I miss copy editors.
Yeah it would be cool if they picked people to mess with the original four. How heartbreaking would it be if Simone ended up as one of the four?
I love it when I can’t predict where a show is going. I find the way this show operates (quite plot driven comedy) really fun.
My speculation is that she might have got all the points for her good idea but was already dead with a closed tally before any negative points could be deducted for unforeseen negative consequences.
Well they had two opposing sides represented.
I can’t remember if someone said it on here or Reddit but someone speculated that her death meant she got the points for the wonderful idea but none of the negative consequences of enacting it attached to her.
By this metric nobody should ever criticise work or a workplace. And plenty of men do it.
