Similarly, I’m probably going to cancel Netflix for a bit after this season of The Good Place ends.....

I really loved season 3 and I thought this was a good finish to the series. My only slight note on this episode was that I wanted more of the island story from the book.

And somehow it’s even more annoying in the book because they spend all night digging a pit and then at the last minute they decide not to use it and so you wonder why you had to read pages about pit digging and philosophising about how people become monsters.

I loved Olaf’s testimony in the courtroom.

I know it doesn’t work in some ways but I quite wish she’d been the powered parent instead of Reed.

Yeah I really love the look of the show.

Yeah it depresses me every time Caitlin is doing something violent and she isn’t having fun with it. Such a waste of Amy Acker’s strengths.

She’s terrific in Person of Interest where she gets an infinitely more compelling arc. She’s also a lot more fun when she plays a character who gleefully wreaks havoc.

“Klaus and Violet quickly put their grief aside to work with him in order to rescue Sunny.”

I really enjoyed this episode. The casting for the series has generally been really good and I liked Allison Williams as Kit and Richard Grant and Beth Grant as the Man and Woman. It’s a good time (this late in the series) to broaden things out and establish that Olaf is not the only bad person or even the worst

Well to quote Bill Bailey “I’m British and as such I crave disappointment” ;-)

Happy New Year AV Club.

I would have put The Handmaid’s Tale on here. There were some really striking episodes and I like the complexity of characters like Aunt Lydia and Serena Joy.

I love that line where Michael tells Lucille to stop pretending to cry: “you haven’t cried since Nixon resigned.”

My favourite small detail from this episode was Tobias wearing the cutoffs under the ostrich costume.

In the UK this would get a W rating for Wank.....

I agree with the review above, I waited ages to watch this one and found it a letdown.

I have been catching up on The Gifted S2. I have to say having two mutant underground people lose kids to the other side at the same time makes for some repetitive angsting.

Good luck for finding something else as soon as possible.

You need to throw in a new commenting platform as well ;-) At this point even spot.im would be an improvement......
