Yeah snacks plus boredom/end of year fatigue are a killer. I ate a ton of chocolate at work yesterday because I was bored and it was there.

I haven’t watched it in ages but I have found watching other stuff around the time that we have hopefully and in general come on a bit when it comes to things like portrayal of women and portrayal of rape and attempted rape.

I don’t think there are overlords so much as the last two dudes in the office who are busy jobhunting........

Where I live, tipping etiquette would be pretty far down the list. In order of priority it would go

I caught up on the Bugle which had a really good emergency special about how badly Brexit is going. (Spoiler: the government can barely agree what to ask for that will be declined by parliament when they vote on it.)

I was at a concert with my friend. We are in our early 30s. My friend is incredibly slight and probably weighs about 6 and a half stone max. Anyway an older man bumped into her multiple times before the gig started trying to take selfies of him and his friends. I never knew narcissism was so detrimental to people’s

It still has some good articles though. I’m still hoping the AVC can somehow turn things around although I have no idea who would buy it and fix it.

Plus he keeps saying it over and over.

I wouldn’t mind him saying that if I thought he could deliver 6 or 7 episodes that had an interesting premise with a couple of stone cold classics among them but I’m not sure he can.

She’s signed on for another season according to stuff I’ve read.

Don’t snark at endangered species ;-) How many AVC writers are left at this point? By next year, there’ll just be one posting Newswires and as many Good Job, Internets as they can......

I caught up on Doctor Who. “It Takes You Away” was probably my favourite episode with 13 so far and the last ten minutes felt batty in a nice Classic Who kind of way.

Heh are you mad Baby Obvious got a crocodile in spelling? ;-)

“aside from that hideous accent”

“But they utterly failed to sell me on the idea that the Solitract was “the maddest, most beautiful thing” the Doctor had ever experienced and that she would be content to leave her friends and her universe behind for its company if it had been safe to do so.”

I love that Yaz’s work keeps informing some of the ways she acts on her travels (subduing the perp in the Kerblam! episode and having had training in dealing with distressed and vulnerable people).

Jodie’s signed on for another season.

I don’t think it helped that his whole part felt like filler/more of the stalling/poor pacing that has plagued the season. I liked this episode but in most of the others, the middle section just involves a ton of time wasting before we wrap things up.

I loved this episode. I’ve been waiting for a cool trippy concept episode all season and here one was. Hanne was a really compelling character and also I felt like this episode did something that Who does a lot and had tons of casual horror.
