I hope Ana comes back again next season. I definitely think there is a throughline there about how it’s easier to judge how others handle this sort of thing than to confront it directly and have the choice of betraying a friend or doing right. But what makes the whole thing almost unbearably frustrating is that all

London gets warm but I think more businesses have air con than in the North ;-)

His treatment of Penny and Sarah-Lynn was immoral but not legally actionable I suppose. Although if you care to read them, some people still think choking Gina was and I quote “not that big a deal. He was on drugs so he couldn’t control himself”

For me, the concerning thing was how Diane’s actions were seen to be worse than BoJack intending to sleep with the 17 year old! No wonder we have problems with this stuff ..........

Which country are you in? (I would guess maybe London)

“What exactly is their argument for Diane somehow being worse than Bojack?”

“It’s crazy, but I think when he tries to equate himself to Diane, that was the first time I actually despised Bojack.”

Well if nothing else, he does a lot of his worst damage to the people around him when he’s on something (Sarah-Lynn/choking Gina/t-boning a car to get injured for more drugs etc).

If you want to feel sadder pop across to Reddit and read some of the justifications for BoJack and the criticism of Diane.........

“And the thing is the pill addiction felt like an excuse in a way his alcoholism or depression were never allowed to be. Strangling a woman just isn’t something Bojack would ever do if he weren’t under the influence of pills and little sleep. He isn’t that kind of abusive asshole.”

I think in her case, she had it engrained enough in her that you have to get your shit together and do your job, so getting the show saved her.

I binge watched as well this weekend. This show is too heavy to combine with work.......

That wasn’t Sadie, that was another potential birth mother. But I like and agree with your assessment of her motives with Ralph even though I want them to make it work. I was hoping she would acknowledge she wasn’t fair to him because she set a pretty clear boundary in the episode where they broke up and he respected

I want the show to move on and start asking questions about how much we can or should forgive/excuse if someone makes a concerted and genuine attempt to change. We haven’t had to ask that in real life because so far none of the powerful abusers actually seem to have attempted it, so it would at least be an original

“Look, obviously men should not be engaging in predatory behavior at the office. But I’m worried now the pendulum’s going to swing too far in the opposite direction, and they’ll be held accountable for that behavior, which is not ideal.”

Who played BoJack’s assistant? I thought she sounded a little bit like one of the voice actors from Daria (she had one line that reminded me of Tiffany)?

I’m doing it tonight because I can’t take a day’s work and an episode 11 right now ;-)

Agreed on OMMF :-) He’s one of my favourite recurring characters.

They need to read Savage Love so bad.
