I was only a kid when it came out but I never thought Titanic was anti-feminist. I thought Rose always thought of Jack because he was something of an equal to her and she wasn’t lucky enough to find that either before meeting him or afterwards.

It’s heartwarming to see that even people from the 1800s still managed to have a complicated sex life you would probably need to write to Dan Savage about. All that’s missing is some niche fetish like sounding.........

I preferred the Pru years. I liked the show when the sisters were not all powerful and when there was still some sense they had to balance everything with their normal lives. I liked the episodes where they had to drive 30 minutes to go vanquish a demon, for instance....

I felt the same way about Jonathan Creek until the writer ran out of good mysteries and made JC a smug bastard with a high powered job, a sensible wife and moved him out of the windmill. If the BBC couldn’t get the windmill set back, they needed to not bring the show back.

I watched some old S7 episodes of Charmed (the avatar/Zankou storyline was pretty good for late-stage Charmed), that conspiracy theory episode of Community, ‘Is It Fall yet’ (Daria TV movie) and my first ever episode of Supernatural.

I will check for it but US and UK Netflix don’t always have the same shows unfortunately.

Dawson’s Creek is the kind of thing that ends up on daytime TV. She might have seen some of it by accident.

In a better timeline Dawson’s Creek would have been about Pacey and Jen coming to terms with the death by drowning of their incredibly smug friend Dawson.
