There is a reason motorcyclists wear leather - abrasion is brutal!

I love that little laugh he has when he realises he can do it - just a perfect character beat!
And presumably, what should the thing surpressing the villains have done in reaction to the OmniDroid? It's an interesting logic gap (I'd hate to call it a plot hole, but it's a good question about the 'world-building' for want of a better term)
I'm rewatching Continuum from the beginning - The opening lines of the first episode are still incredible, and though it loses its way (never quite feels like it delivers on what it could be, gets a bit convoluted), it has maybe the best ending of a sci-fi show in recent memory
It felt like Alison was trying to say she was talented, but not successful in getting roles, so is it a matter of nuance?
It's starting to feel like that the more important character is to piece, the better it is being done as a series, rather than a 90-150 minute film. You get issues of structure since each chapter has to be self-contained to some degree, but I'm becoming less fond of film as TV/Streaming seems to be maturing
I think it's partly to do with the amount of work required in post (like SFX) etc. There will probably be dragon shots in every episode going forward, and if not dragons, white walkers. There are probably good reasons on teh actual filming side as mass battles are hard to organise and shoot etc so a bit more time…
Not to mention the stagnant seasons and cyclic plotting. I know that they can still do a good set piece, but you have to wade through so much tripe to reach those…
I miss Celebrity Deathmatch… Though this battle would have killed their Plasticine budget anyway
Perhaps Goldman's project is the one with the most ties to the main series timeline? It would be a lot easier to talk through continuity etc than to try and dig through what must be a massive show 'bible' at this point. I'm just happy she is involved, I've loved a lot of what she has put her name to
People posting banners etc are a message of support. It's not a block of text, but it's still communicating a particular(ly distasteful) message
If you're citing scripture in support of atrocious acts, it's religious. If a new inquisition started and cartoonists started to code reference to Exodus 22:18 in to their images in support, it would appropriate to call that religious too. They might not conform to orthodox interpretations, but it's still religious in…
I used to wonder why Trump thought he was a "really smart guy", and then I saw what he surrounds himself with…
Its positioning is somewhat curious - The word Jewelry would be slammed up against the edge of the canopy, which would make sense if there was a word before it. There isn't. So that raises the question of why the word was placed where it was, and the conclusions for the artist aren't favourable, particularly in light…
I have some sympathy with that point of view, they're more processes where a computer overlays an actors work. They're valid choices for making a film (I still remember Ralph Bakshi's Nazgul), and I think Andy Serkis deserves an Oscar for his Mo-cap performances collectively, but they're not the work of animators
It is a great movie, but its relationship to soccer is tenuous!
Catfish always felt like it was originally intended as a 'Gotcha' to a Facebook scam artist, but totally changed its tone when they met the real woman. No idea if that is what happened, but the bits where they're trying to act like they think the profile is on the level feel staged
Never been a decent soccer movie either, possibly for the same reasons. I'd love to see a good film made about the WW2 "Death Match" in Ukraine, but the football is almost entirely symbolic in that
That sounds like a bad basketball remake of the mad (but strangely charming) Shaolin Soccer. Must re-watch Steven Chow's films at some point…
