I get not wanting to “stick out in a bad way”, but that’s not always an option. Maybe you’re not the same race or sexual orientation as most of those around you and either you physically can’t hide who you are or if you can, it might require living in a way that hurts more to do over 4-6 years than the actual bullying.

If you’re visibly poor, ugly, slovenly, smell bad with worn out clothes with holes that don’t fit (or are seen with those types) you may as well have a neon sign “I have too much lunch money and love noogies, why won’t someone help me?”

I disagree, especially this year. This will be the first Thanksgiving of my adult life where I don’t need to drive home after dinner. The wine will be flowing generously.

I have a similar process. I prep a breakfast casserole the night before and throw it in the oven in the morning. It’s usually done cooking when we are finished with presents.
