Yeah, owners are way too sensitive here. I don't think reviews are always fair, but like any rational person I look the overall tone of the reviews of a place to decide if it's worth going. A 1-star review where someone complains about something really minor and totally freaks out is not going to stop me from going.

I don't think anything is cheating until you've both said "we're in a relationship". Once you cross that line, it's tacky to leave up profiles IMO. I wouldn't confront the guy in dramatic fashion yelling "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?", but I think that is a sign they are keeping their options open.

You have to know whether you are easily distracted...I'm very able to do work and have tv on without really watching tv but not everyone can. Maybe it's worth having a window on your computer open with YouTube or something and seeing how that works firs t?

It's great some people in your family stepped up. It's sad to not see people taking care of family. I have some relatives I like more than others, but when push comes to shove if anyone really needed me I'd be there.

Sure, it's reasonable for grandparents to decline to take care of children. I would never force them into it, and if they want to have the typical (in the U.S.), once-a-year visitation schedule that grandparents have, that's fine. It's what I expect will happen with my in laws.
