I get a frankly unexpected amount of positive attention in the 135is.

I drive a 135is. I definitely mention that I got a good deal on it, but that’s more because when I tell people I have a BMW and a Jeep for winter, I feel them immediately thinking “this guy is some kind of rich prick” so I backpedal and say the Jeep is 10 years old and BMW has surprisingly affordable lease rates.

I'm surprised that no has called BS on this "comparison" yet. The D3 is down by 75hp and is slower from 0-60 ( according to BMW AG and Alpina). Sure it has more toque but the M4 isn't a slouch either with 550NM.

95% of the haters own an older M3 and would never admit the new one is better.
