I’ll probably get flamed for this, but I didn’t really think it was all that good. The car scenes were VERY few and far between, and even when they WERE on-screen it wasn’t for but a minute or two.

Totally agree. Harvey was a bulldog out there tonight. When the cameras zoomed on him in the 7th, you could see it in his eyes. In a situation like tonight, you just gotta stay with Harvey and let him pitch. Hell, even after the double I may have given him another out.

SO/Maplewood or EO/Irvington? Perhaps Bloomfield? The area looks very familiar..

On the carrier, you can watch flight ops on TV. The ships speed is displayed, among other things. I forgot when, I believe around 30 knots, it just starts flashing. They would do that for OPSEC, but I would bet they go upwards of 45. I mean, I’ve been on board when the number was flashing, and we were MOVING.

This EVO looks hideous.

Tire pressure?

21 or 18, what’s the difference? As long as they are trained and can safely do the job, I see no issue here.

your happy someone who you didn’t know was killed in a crash?

Moving to Tempe today. At the airport now. I’ll know soon enough!

Holy shit, I was looking at this the other day on CL. I am moving to AZ TODAY and was looking at the car situation out there. Crazy to see it here on NPoCP. I actually was wondering how to submit this car to you guys!!

No, I was just too smart

GET OUTTA THE SHOPS, OUTTA THE HOLES AND COME JOIN ME ON THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY TOP-SIDE.......What it really means is go take a shit for 20 min.

The Air Boss (or one of his minions) would hide a gold painted wrench on the FD before FOD walkdown on the Kitty Hawk from time to time. I was the lucky guy to find the "Golden FOD" during a cruise in the late 90's. I always wondered what would happen if that planted wrench was never found.....

I have a really good grasp of the process. I was actually researching everything around the same time as you were doing everything, that’s how I found out about you and your writing. How often can we expect new articles?

Looks great Doug. Reminds me of my 1990 GTS-4 I had when I was in Japan. I miss that car everyday. Now that it is possible to import one legally I plan on getting the ball rolling later this year. I still have some friends over there so I am hoping the process isn’t too terrible.

Realistically it shouldnt. 3K and nothing more. That being said, this car is so easy to work on and CHEAP to run. Parts are plenty, 20 fills the tank and the 96-2000 Civic interior's hold up amazing if you just clean it every few months. I had 1 for a year, bought with 145K and drove it to 168 with just oil changes.

That Miata ad is def bullshit. The price is not an even number, normally the dead giveaway on CL. Usually the scams post an amazing clean car for 1/5 the price. 9 times outta 10, its posted somewhere cold and the pics have a palm tree or ocean in the background and the car has florida plates.

I am a former S-3 Avionics Tech with 8+ years on the Viking. I also was Aircrew for 4 of those years. I would be happy to answer any question you may have if I can.

Great job. I was composing a post earlier where my main point was that this vehicle is in no way a good deal. At all. I knew there had to be a misrepresentation of some kind by the seller, and I am glad it was brought to light. There are some people bashing the author for this, and while I can see where he was coming

Good video
