I didn’t like the movie because it either killed or otherwise ignored all these characters I liked and instead focused on ones I didn’t know or care about.

I didn’t see it, but she comes off as a huge fangirl, which I think definitely works for her.

Can’t wait! Iman Vellani just inhabits Kamala so well that I can’t stop grinning when she’s on screen.

I mean, that’s how consumption of entertainment works.  It’s not a chore or homework or any other sort of assigned task.

A quarter of what is widely regarded as one of his best films, and maybe OP was expecting a filmmaker as well-regarded as Allen to be able to captivate them within a half hour. 

This episode was great, but it also kinda saddened me.

I feel it’s even simpler than that. Feige and Marvel Studios are not embarrassed by the source material. Period end of story. WB is mostly embarrassed by anything that isn’t Batman.
