I didn't "forget". It's just that Lego is among the millions of consumer products that contain plastic, and singling it out is not going to put a dent in the plastic pollution problem.

Well, to be fair, Lego isn’t being generally neglectfully dumped into the ocean like with fishing gear and single-use plastic packaging, and they are taking steps (albeit slow ones) to be more sustainable, like eliminating plastic bags in their packaging and developing bricks made from recycled PET. But you’re not

I’d probably compare Eternals to a film like Cloud Atlas, which also was a pretty tough film to market properly, and similarly had reactions that ran the gamut from hated it to loved it. Just from the fact it’s an MCU film gives it a built-in audience, but beyond that, it’s really tough to market movies like that.

Tempered expectations from the reviews, but I enjoyed it. Wouldn’t even say that it’s worse than Thor: The Dark World (which wasn’t even that horrible, in my opinion).

I went in with tempered expectations and I enjoyed it a great deal. Not perfect by any means, but at very least, I enjoyed it more than the lower ranked MCU flicks (Thor: TDW, The Incredible Hulk) and some of the higher ranked ones (Black Widow).

Yeah. McFarlane losing the lawsuit to Neil Gaiman was almost too fitting.

No love for Mushroom Samba? That’s my go-to rewatch. Ed comes across a stash of mushrooms and is trying to determine of they're edible or not, so she leaves them for the crew to find. And being that their rations ran out, they go ahead and eat them with hilarious results.

Dare I ask how much something like that goes for?

For the sake of my own mental health, I’m willing to chalk the whole situation up to Hanlon’s Razor (“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity”), but at the same time, to do that required a lot of conscious effort and action. What is the thought process that goes into that and how does

Really? I always thought it was pronounced eye-AHT-see, which very much rhymes with Yahtzee.

To say nothing of the irreparable harm that Trump has been done to critical thinking, democracy, and general civility.

Some of the guys in the Time Variance Authority use them as paperweights. Some of them.

In its current form, social media is the equivalent of handing out loaded guns to everyone without bothering to do anything resembling due diligence to ensure that the guns are used safely and responsibly.

Smarties, and not M&Ms! Are you from a commonwealth nation?

Wrong. I VERY much want to hear the words because I’m running out of words to describe them.

Which game? Enter the Matrix was horrible. It was rushed so they could coincide with the release of The Matrix: Reloaded and that was when I finally understood that movie tie-in video games are mostly shovelware.

In addition to lkodl’s comments, Shang-Chi has garnered outright hostile buzz in China, with some media outlets referring to Simu Liu as “too ugly” to play the part. There’s also the fact that Hollywood films with Asian casts generally have not done well in Mainland China. Mulan (remake) and Crazy Rich Asians were

Generally, I’d agree with that. But when I have two kids at home who are too young to get vaccinated and a wife who may or may not divorce me if I happen to bring Covid19 home, plus the fact that the mRNA vaccines can’t prevent transmission or infection, I’ll do what ever I have to (to keep my wife off my back).

Sorry, was that wrong? Was I not supposed to do that?

Double-vaxxed, double masked, occupying the back corner with my regular movie buddy (also double-vaxxed), thoroughly wiping down the seats with Lysol. My theatre blocks off one seat between groups, but it was still a little uncomfortably packed, plus the couple two seats over to us didn’t mask up. I guess we’ll see
