I haven't played Magic in over 20 years. I think I still have the cards in my Mom's Basement (literally). I don't know the name of the run, but it was when it really started getting popular. The cards had white borders and they were basically all re-prints of the same set that had black borders?

Random Thoughts:

Yeah, the show is much more of a Character Driven thing than a plot driven thing. If you don't like the characters, there's probably not going to be much there for you. The Characters resonate with me really well, so that's why I like the show as much as I do.

I only encourage select freinds to see this one. I have to think they can handle it before I will. for the wrong type of person, they will either be really bored or really, really sad (but not cathartic sad).

That's the one that devistates me every single time.

Is the chicken episode the only one you've seen? That episode would be inconsistent and jarring if that was your first foray into Hollywoo.

I agree with that completely. There's been plenty of people in this thread alone who have expressed reasonably stated opinions of disinterest based on what they have seen so far.

He's an internet celebrity from a decade ago, I really care about what upcoming media he is or isn't going to consume.

You're kind of proving your point though. No one is saying that people shouldn't see the movie if they don't think it looks interesting, or that they shouldn't vote with their wallets, or that they even have to like the trailer.

Sorry I can't participate in this thread any longer…

I think this is a sage point that is getting lost. "Purists" get internet outraged over everything like this. It happens all the time and is disregarded as noise. The amplitude of the backlash to this film dwarfs the standard nerd fan outrage level, people are exploring why and it seems silly to me to disregard the

Cool, so I'm wrong?

The GOP ignored the problem of Donald Trump until it was far too late. They didn't think he mattered, they didn't think his supporters mattered, and they thought if they just ignored it one of their establishment candidates would win. They never engaged the guy or started calling him out until it was far too late.

What if it's not at the top of the list? What if it's just a thing and they don't even make a big deal of it, or talk about it?

The movie doesn't come out for two months. I could see putting out a video after the movie comes out saying "I'm not going to review this movie because it has a 37% on Rotten Tomatoes, let's take a look at what's been written about it and..blahblahblah…" would be a worthwhile exercise if that's his thing.

I think it would require much more mental gymnastics for someone who lived in isolation until they were in their early twenties to not experience attraction as they explore the world at large for the first time than it would be for that same character to take a shining to ladies.

I think there should be more men in early childhood education, and that there's a lot of stigma with that we need to work on as a society, but I got a feeling that's not what you're talking about…

One could make that argument and I would be fine with it…

"She isn't even aware enough of other women to be gay."

Maybe that's where all the confusion comes from, his thing is that he regularly produces videos about movies that he doesn't intent to see?
