Yeah I’m surprised Handmaid’s isn’t on the list.
Yeah I’m surprised Handmaid’s isn’t on the list.
One of the triumphs of this game is how interwoven the enviroment art is with the narrative. The enviroment art is constantly reflecting the setting’s history and lore (oh the carvings, everywhere) while the game’s narrative devices (devices like Mimir’s storytime) are constantly reinforcing that by giving you context …
Damn, this is gorgeous stuff. They absolutely knocked it out of the park in the art direction department on this game.
This is the first game I’m playing since upgrading to 4k and a PS4 Pro and it really is mind blowing. It’s the best looking game I’ve ever played, and I’m an avid Pc gamer. the only knock is that it’s 30fps, but it’s a solid 30.
RIP young man. (you wasted it)
Summer school when you flunked the GED exam.
Damn, this old school
Just because the games remade, that doesn’t automatically mean the game should be devoid of it’s original contents. Changing the way the characters look takes away a lot of the ability for people to enjoy the game for the prime reason it’s been made, nostalgia.
This particular time has a good reason, though. The new Resident Evil engine uses facial capture for more accurate animations so things are going to veer more towards realism for their bigger budget games like this and DMC5.
I’m fine with the characters’ faces. But I’m not fine with Capcom changing them for every game. Claire and basically every other character haven’t looked the same in any Resident Evil game.
Hook makes Piccolo look amazing.
Chrono Cross doesn’t exactly kill the original cast, so much as it points out how changing the future leads to dead timelines, which effectively leads to alternate universes in which those people die. There are other timelines, or universes, where the original cast is still alive. However, even explaining this is…
It’s such a great part of the game. You can have Glenn/Frog get his revenge, or you can be the better man/frog and walk away...to which you’re rewarded.
In the mid-nineties, at the approach of the millennium, the creators of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest combined…
Im sorry, how was Freya the driving force of the plot in any way, shape or form? I was under the impression that the driving force of the plot was Kratos and Atreus going “See that mountain? We are going to climb it”.
I mean, they tend to use the pain of the male characters as a driving force too. Everyone gets to suffer in that world and damn do they suffer.
I couldn’t disagree more thoroughly.
Just a quick reminder: reviews are, and always will be, products of opinion.
I’m already seeing a few people conflating opinion with statements of objective fact in the comments, and I have to say that it’s as disappointing as it is predictable.
Not every reviewer will like the same things you like, and it is not…
With Nintendo’s questionable track record when it comes to internet, are we really going to trust them with streaming entire games? Not to mention that this is just the next wet dream for publishers. If this ever becomes popular, you only need to give them a few additional months/years, and they will have corrupted it…
I’ve tried streaming services like these and I just can’t enjoy them. There’s juuuust enough latency between when I press the button and when the action happens onscreen that I notice it, and it kills my suspension of disbelief. It’s always there, nagging in the back of my mind.
