Aloy is, in my opinion, the best realized female protagonist in AAA gaming history. Not just because of her great character development, not just because she could be an attractive design without feeling objectified, not just because  of the way she navigated her world, but in the way she worked in combat.

Hell yeah.  Broforce fucking rules!  Thank you for giving that game some much deserved love.

I don’t think they can not at this point.  I’m admittedly a full blown Sony fan boy but it would be incredibly anti-consumer of them compared to their competition if they tried to sell separate versions of the games.

Really solid article, but having BioShock: Infinite as a more significant game than The Last of Us is laughable, and having no mention of Horizon: Zero Dawn for 2017 should be a criminal offense.

This is incredibly disappointing, but even more so because their online mode may be the least rewarding online game I’ve ever played.  It takes far far far too long to gain currency in a legitimate way that allows you to get the things you need to actually play the game.  They need to double, if not triple the rewards

“Like a tribe of cats passionately sure that outside is good, until they are sure that, in fact, inside is good”

Ok. But Barret isn’t that, so it’s not those levels of bad. Sooooooo...

And what about the quiet majority who loved Barret then, love Barret now, and have no problem whatsoever with him? What about those of us who in fact think he’s one of the more memorable FF characters of the past twenty five years, and still cherish him? They should just all fuck off?

You must be fun at parties.

You are missing out friend. Farpoint (the first big Aim game) is one of the best, most polished VR games out there.

Having played the game for a few dozen hours, I can tell you the far superior way to play it is with the Aim controller.  It’s not a movement thing (movement with the Move controllers actually works quite well), it’s a gun handling thing.  It just feels very odd to single-handedly use a two handed gun like a sniper

Also Borderlands 2 VR is getting all of the previously unreleased DLC in a free update!

That’s the thing, it does, and that’s still not enough for how good it is!  People who don’t have VR need to truly know how magical Astrobot is.

If you really want Nintendo magic in a VR experience, the answer is already there in “Astrobot: Rescue Mission.”

Bill Maher (like him or hate him) had a good point the other week about The Left nitpicking everyone for every little thing; that’s how you end up with nobody to host the Oscars.

Now playing

Until I hear Rail Road Martin call this as canon, See Pounce is still alive and well.

I see you said “three random strangers,” but is it possible to group up with friends online?  My buddy and I have been eying this game for some time and found the last EDF’s lobby system to be atrocious.

So, drunkenly flirting at a party? This is worth reporting?

Great list, but y’all really have to check out Astrobot: Rescue Mission.  Moss was my VR GOTY until I got Astrobot.  It’s legitimately my third favorite game of the year, possibly second.

Who would have thought two years later, NMS would actually become a really, really good game?  I’m so impressed by how Hello Games has turned their ship around.
