No Gundam, either.

I'm happy that the movie still maintains the book's delightful charm of American characters not sounding at all American.

I completely agree. I often feel like I'm the only one who is very unimpressed by this season. It seems to have more "wacky" and cliche sitcom storylines, too.

I wonder if they'll get married. The Catholic wedding preparation alone would make for some hilarious episodes.

I was wondering why they didn't submit to an academic journal as well. Unless they just posted it to some open repository or something.

I could have sworn Pam was from Minnesota, not Wisconsin. Didn't the show have her mention Minnesota previously?

I'm from the GB area and it looks nothing like how the show portrayed it. It's not metropolitan but it's not that rural either. The setting looked more like N. Dakota or something.

I totally thought that'd happen in the episode.

Sometimes the vaccine fails. Also, it hurts those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. For instance, many of those who fell ill in this outbreak are babies who were too young for the vaccine.

For me, it was when 1. She orgasms just from having her nipples played with. I mean, come on. and 2. She deep throats on her first blowjob. Seriously now?

I like Fifty Shades of Suck

And the birthday loan officer!

Yeah, I wonder if maybe the article misquoted him. But, really, even schizotypal doesn't fit super well.

Plenty of rich and famous people have committed sexual assault and gotten away with it, too. Not to mention that running away from a sentence itself is a crime. And, yes, if he'd stayed in the US and done his time I wouldn't be speaking out against him right now.

But the fact that that possibility exists is why rape cases cannot be dropped just because it's what the victim wants. Yes, maybe she is genuinely ready to forgive him, but that's not how the court systems work with this type of crime.

It sends a message to others, though, that you can get away with a horrible crime if you're rich and famous enough. Not to mention, as someone posted below, it basically tells victims that it's worthless to report a sexual assault if the perpetrator is rich and famous.

It's still punishment, though. It would limit his freedom, which most people generally enjoy.

Because most victims have a horrible time during the prosecution/court process and just want it to be over. This poor woman has had hers dragged out for decades. That doesn't mean that what Polanski did is suddenly okay. Like you said, this isn't a civil case.

Locking up most rapists doesn't make them any more remorseful. Should we stop doing it?

How wouldn't that advance punishment?
