Yeah, that’s why I think digital is great for 2 consoles, but potentially problematic for 3 or more. It’s a situation I’m about to find myself in. We have two right now, but likely 3 post-Christmas. I’ll probably stick to digital so I’m not chasing discs all over the house.  Especially with a puppy around that

Having a family and multiple consoles, with digital games nobody can play it on their own profile except on the designated ‘home’ console.

One example that really stuck out was “corpo”. We already have “corp” as an informal shortening of corporation. In 50 some odd years, why would we move over to a 2 syllable slang, when a 1 syllable slang already exists,

Those really don’t seem embarrassing. Whatever was going on at Blizzard, that you had no way of knowing at the time, the game gave you some nice memories with your friends. Three of my years were Minecraft. Which, like Overwatch for you, represents many hours of hanging out with my friends. Good memories.

I think that is where a fast travel option comes in. If the player been to an area before then I prefer there be some sort of fast travel option to return. Most large games do that these days. Because while I do enjoy traversing large natural landscapes at times I agree that you don’t necessarily want to travel the

That and I don’t think the 2.0 version has made it into customer hands yet.

There was a huge backlash against the Wii that is arguably in part due to the motion controls. But also remember how the MS was all in on the Kinect for a while and Sony had their camera and Dual Shock? In the time since MS has basically abandoned motion controls completely. Sony and Nintendo still use motion

Seriously not trying to detract anyone from their enjoyment but... not me. Gonna have to pass on this one. In fact, think I’m officially tapping out of open world games all together at this rate because to me? This is just going backwards, it actually sounds like it’s just doubling down on all of the annoyances of

For the record I’m a huge fan of the Souls series and From Software in general. And I didn’t have the chance to play the demo/test so I don’t know how I’ll take to the game. I’m looking forward to it though. But I didn’t like the way Ian framed his comments. I very much enjoy well done natural landscapes in games.

I guess I’m the opposite. I tried the spicy McD’s sandwich and didn’t care for it. I didn’t hate it, but I won’t be eating it again.

I just take a bit of exception to this idea that permeates the entire write-up:

I’m well aware of this.  Just giving my opinion on this game “reinventing” the open world genre.

A wooded lane isn’t simply window-dressing between waypoints but a set piece for learning the intricacies of stealth combat.

That’s basically how I ended up playing. Stealth is entirely possible. The AI is just pretty cheap so you have to adjust how stealthy you have to be. The aggressive AI and respawning also makes traversing larger distances a chore. You excuse it as hearing your engine, but that just doesn’t make sense. It’s not

Very interesting.  The Verge is covering much of this crisis, but as you noted it seems comments are disable on most (all?) of those posts.

Yeah, I think this is exactly what Sony could reasonably do right now.  If anything else is happening it is behind closed doors at the moment.  I think the author is expecting too much Sony at this time.

That was the glitch too?  Glad I grabbed it then.  I haven’t spent any time on seasonal events yet.

So what form did the nerf take for the AFK runs?

I just bought the DeLorean from the auction house.

I took the batteries out of mine and then plugged it into the console.  Hasn't turned off even after 8+ hours.  Maybe the batteries affect the scenerio?
