You are catching some flak pretty unfairly, but get it. I tend to pay attention to the story in most games, but I have friends that instantly skip past the cut scenes in any game. They just don’t care. They want to get back to playing. Point them toward the bad guys and they’re off.

To me it looks more like Thanos about to snap.

Haha.. got you.

Some of those are still debatable. For example Last Guardian is hard coded to run at 30 FPS. Probably because the PS4 and PS4 Pro would be too inconsistent if it were uncapped. In the earlier version that part of the code is bugged so it does indeed run faster on the PS5. However, there are trade offs. You lose

Yeah, sure.  I don’t get up to change TV channels either.  Do you?   Please.  GFY.

Drink up.

Doesn’t sound that bad to me. I much preferred the old SSX games to steep in the same way I prefer Forza Horizon to Forza. So having some arcade flavor is right up my alley.

Sure, you can find a few people that like to be able to exploit a game and thus don’t like some of the fixes included in a patch because they wanted the easy road. And, hey, I’ve exploited games too, but it’s not how the game was intended. And those are largely just edge cases anyway. Many games gets tons of good

It’s not a myth at all. You think games have patches just for fun? First off, some disc games have notoriously shipped with only a fraction of the game on the disc. But I’ll grant that those are relatively rare. What’s not rare are games getting patches that squash bugs, alter/rebalance mechanics, or add content.

what is your life like that you have time to be shrieking in these comments but not enough time to switch discs or carts? how is a download any more “cumbersome” than getting off the couch and bending over to slide in a disc?

The fly in that ointment is you can only play the game on one console at a time. I have two XBoxs in my home and buy digital. One of the reasons being that the game can be used on both consoles simultaneously which matters sometimes.

I’ll be all on board for the digital future when console devs allow us to make full digital backups of digital games. Until they do that, all digital is pointless and just relegates games to non-existence eventually.

it’s only a dumb argument if you belive that all of our digital media will be here long after we’re dead and history has proven that if we don’t back up and make many copies of it and preserve that media for the future then it can just disappear without a trace. there are many books, movies, and even video games that

it’s not convenient if you have to spend 12 hours downloading a game that takes up a quarter of your hard drive. and it’s not faster switching games either if you have to keep uninstalling and redownloding those games because they take up too much hard drive space. installing from disc is cheaper and those physical

Can you sell your digital copy? No? Then you don’t own it.

I use Eneloop Pros too. They last way longer than any battery pack and outlast the PS4/5 controllers with their built in batteries by a large margin.

When his “brand” includes filming inside public restrooms I don’t think many care to know any more.

Wrecks are about objective perspectives...events leading up to the moment it all went wrong. Taking an emotional stance because you hate speeders isn’t developmental.

Interesting. Mine is wired and this has never happened to me and I always put it into rest mode.

I don’t know what the issue is, but I can confirm that a hardwire connection works perfectly.  I’ve had mine hardwired since launch and it has never lost the connection.
