What is slick about the website? How is the website fear mongering? You never even attempted to explain this, you just gave a brief and incomplete summary of the dispute over graduate students unionizing.

I think he should focus more on getting the BA over .250 than having fun.

The people in DC who are proud of residing in the district v. MD or VA and make a big fuss about it do that because they have miserable and meaningless lives.

Wake me up when Michael Phelps throws out the first pitch at a professional softball game (if that exists, I don't know and I don't care).

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at too.

If you are a professional football team in San Diego and players would prefer to play essentially anywhere else, thereby not living in San Diego during the winter months, then yeah you fucked up.

I don’t get it.

Wait, so you are telling me that I can’t use Summer’s Eve Douche for Men to keep my asshole clean and fresh without being judged? Well fuck you too.

You are 100% correct, but I think Beal is just a dickhead.

What about people who imply they are alpha males by describing people who call themselves alpha males as beta af? What about those completely hypothetical people?

He’s eating this shit up, that's why he's putting it on Twitter. He could have just sent an email.

Yeah this seems transparent. It has little or nothing to do with these things and probably more general cold feet (emphasis on cold going from Ga. to Ann Arbor) or UM is getting a lot of guys at his position.

No, but you do act as if college-aged athletes are required to play college ball because the NCAA makes them. It is actually the NFL and NBA who prevent players from playing professionally, based on (to use your favorite word, and with novelty use it correctly) an arbitrary age requirement (this is less true for

You are moving the goalposts. First it was athletes and now it’s “it’s” athletes - there is a difference. Yes, the NCAA member schools have agreed to not pay athletes. Those athletes are free to pursue professional sports elsewhere. Colleges can also exit the NCAA and pay their players. There is no reason to prohibit

You realize that the NCAA is not the government right? It is an association of colleges that play sports against each other. If the Big 12 decided they wanted to pay players, they could, they just wouldn’t be part of the NCAA anymore.

It’s fine that you don’t believe in amateur sports. But other people do, and they compete against other amateurs. And it isn’t an arbitrary distinction just because you don’t like it. Playing for money vs. not playing for money is a fairly bright line. Perhaps you normally get away with just calling things arbitrary.

You sound angry and you didn’t actually reply to any of my arguments. If they sound like nonsense to you, don’t worry about it, my 5-year old nephew doesn’t understand it either. The 12-year old does though.

These are schools, the players have decided to remain amateur athletes. If anything, sue the NFL for not allowing them to become a professional.

Eh, if we are just being egalitarian, why not put that money towards reducing tuition for all students?

I also find the implication that a 4-5 year minor league baseball career is some kind of future employment detriment. Obviously you need to get a degree too, but in our macho culture that experience is as good as or better than 4-5 in some shitty entry-level office job (I reference the macho culture, but I do think
