I just remember playing this and Lost Odyssey around the same time and thinking they got switched up. Lost Odyssey felt like a true FF game, compelling characters, tons of heart, fun mechanics, cool twists, and emotional gut punches. FFXIII felt like a rail shooter trying to be an FF.

I normally wouldn’t mind no VA. However the cutscenes in the game appear primed for it; sound effects, camera motion, even moving animated mouths.
