I’m saying that regulations have not prevented the US from selling the most cars ever last year, from US automakers from reporting all time highs in profitability, and producing the most cars ever on US soil. We should not be loosening regulations.

When I lived in San Diego, I’d see renaults, PSA cars, hi luxes, rangers.

Fact is that the Ford Everest is like a 90k AUD car, 65k+ in USD w/ GST, so approx. 55K+ in USD without tax. It’s an excellent car that is compared favorably (with intention) to the Land Cruiser Prado and Nissan Patrol. It’s basically too good and too expensive of a car for the US market.

I’ve driven the Everest extensively. I want the Everest here in the US.

CNCAP is an initiative by the Chinese government that have greatly improved the safety of domestic vehicles. They basically had to shame the manufacturers into safety by adopting EuroNCAP standards.
