I had a friend who did that for like 600-700/month. Put 40k miles a year on cars. had to re-sign every 3 months because the cars kept on getting recalled due to ridiculous miles.

Tahoe snow isn’t a joke sometimes, especially in R3 conditions. That said, socal is pretty much a joke when it comes to chain restrictions, esp around big bear lake.
