I don’t see how anybody would think this would go any other way. The only reason why Minecraft didn’t go exclusive was because it was already on the console with millions of players giving money in the form of DLC.

This isn’t any difference than when Microsoft bought Rare. Like did anybody expect future Rare games to

Just because Step 1 doesn’t solve the entire problem doesn’t mean you don’t take Step 1.

tbh I kinda assumed this already

Looks like you fell for the stupid clickbait headline too. This article skews the actual numbers. The number are based on hours and of course people are going to play games like NBA, Madden, CoD and Fortnight more than they will a 5-10 hour long game. These games have insane replayablility. A game like Ratchet would

Some caveats: The ranking is based on cumulative hours played across the playerbase, not on total number of players. (According to Ryan, PS5 players clocked a cumulative 4.6 billion hours.)

This was interesting and very thorough. Well written, and good luck with bad faith bullshit that’s sure to come your way.

Personally, I don’t necessarily want Pokemon to be more grown-up, I want it to be more ambitious. They haven’t fundamentally changed in 25 years except to add bells and whistles, and they seem pretty relaxed to stick with it.

im sure it was entirely to protect people and not at all influenced by large corporations getting indignant over people disliking their videos.

We also heard directly from smaller creators and those just getting started that they are unfairly targeted by this behavior — and our experiment confirmed that this does occur at a higher proportion on smaller channels.

It’s actually exceptionally helpful if you aren’t familiar enough with the two series to know what makes them different. It’s even more helpful if you’ve only experienced the one it’s being compared to. This is a bad take.

I mean for a lot of the people who are going to be interested who have only played persona it is really helpful to have a comparison point.

If hardly anyone drank coke and vanilla coke ruled the roost then yes that would be a useful comparison

We’ve reached it. We’ve reached the point where we have to make articles explaining how basic writing works and what words and intent mean.

If I’ve only ever had vanilla coke then yes, that is actually a helpful description. Especially if, in this hypothetical reality, vanilla coke is significantly more popular than regular coke amongst the general public.

Gamers (TM) are still trying to pull up the ladder to their “members only” treehouse. It makes sense that they’d get angry about any reviewers making any comparisons between a “hardcore” series like SMT to a more accessible one like Persona.

If reviewers give good reviews, they're bought and paid for. If they give bad reviews, they're joyless jerks that hate fun

Think one of the reasons Gamers (TM) get so mad about reviewers making comparisons because they assign the most cynical possible motives to every reviewer. Always the silliest, most negative assumptions - like that the reviewer only knows Persona and not any other JRPG series rather than Persona being the (obvious!!!)

Such a cool move.

Also, plenty of deaf folks out there who are dyslexic like everybody else, so sign language would likely be of great benefit to those who experience both of those cognitive realities.

Is that framerate boost really worth the hit to fidelity?

Certainly explains why they didn’t go to Chick-fil-A.
