My absolute favorite, and one of my favorite books period, is King’s “The Stand.” A post-apocalyptic story that you cannot believe was written in 1978, still really prescient and one of the great precursors of the post-apocalyptic genre boom.

My older sister made me watch this as a little kid (and Candyman) and I was terrified of taking showers and baths FOREVER. You won’t get me to watch it not one bit!

Seriously sh** that comes out at daytime is the worst lol. It didn’t help that this coincided with a scary clown episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

I know, my partner is from Illinois and for the first few years we were together, I would send gifts and money to his nieces and nephews on birthdays and Christmas. Not only were no thank you notes sent, but upon seeing the little darlings in person, no verbal thank you was offered. End result- Aunt Southerngothick

Northerner here, we don’t care about thank you notes.

I’m going to a destination wedding in May and there’s no way I’m giving them a gift. Also I did just get an email from the bride with the link to the wedding registry that said:

My gift is always 100 bill in the card with a note to use it for a beautiful meal on the honeymoon. To me that is more meaningful than towels.

I agree with this for weddings where people don’t have to travel. I don’t mind getting someone a gift if the most I have to do is drive 10 miles to their reception. But if I have to come to New York City, or Florida, or California, for your wedding, then your gift is the gift of my presence. I also do not buy gifts

Let’s not be coy: it’s also almost entirely a white male workforce, while renewable energy factories tend to be mixed in race and gender. Not sure why we’re pretending that’s not a big part of this.

It’s a great job for the people who own and run the mines and processing plants, and I’m guessing that’s who 45 is pandering to with all his yammering about coal.

I’m not an expert, and not out to insult anyone, but isn’t coal mining a “bad” job in a lot of ways? Like the pay is bad, you can get black lung, it’s very unsafe other reasons that are escaping me now.

I am keenly interested in this because it’s not Trump/Russia/Ivanka/Jared/Putin/Nunes. I need a break.

The entire Republican party minus John McCain and Lindsey fucking Graham are traitors and should be in jail. Period.

It’s a good day for Shouty Spice when he doesn’t have lunch on his tie or food stuck in his teeth.

All hail the Manchurian Orange.

Sean Spicer just said in the daily press briefing that the WH never tried to do this. Which I’m sure is 100% true, just like everything else the WH says. /s

These men, these trash piece of shit men like O’Reilly and Trump, love to insult women’s looks. They think it’s like a shot to the core or something. That something so trite is cutting or even witty.

I think we’re about due for a fire at the Reichstag Capitol.

It’s not like it was a big mystery.

Well you can’t make an oppressive police state omelette without breaking some eggs.

He also signed a bill that repealed a regulation protecting workers from wage theft.
