OMG thank you! Loved them all! Also Diana Rigg in The Avengers- got any pics of her?

Children, I was 14 years old in 1967 and I do not remember this trend at all, but being I lived in a semi-rural part of the south, not many trendy things occured here. But! There was shiny white Yardley lipstick and Summer Blonde *sigh*

True story- last fall the Prof and I vacationed in Sweden and Denmark. So help me, we spent two weeks in Stockholm and Linkoping and never once glimpsed an IKEA. We did see one smallish billboard in a train station. I was beginning to think it was all an urban myth and IKEA was really owned by WalMart and existed

Um, nope. That must be a Georgia thing/thang. In Tennessee the phrase is “snatch em bald-headed.” When referencing the ass, it’s basic “kick em in the ass” or “rip em a new one.”

Goddammit. This burns my ass so bad. I am of the hardline variety, in that anything that happens under MY skin is MY business, no matter even if I’m 8 months and 29 days pregnant with the discoverer of the cancer cure.

That’s even better than the classic “became shot.”

I have a 14 YO great nephew who absolutely loves Trump and says all his 14 YO male friends do too. When I inquired as to why, nephew was all, because he’s so COOL and tells it like it IS. Nephew would definitely been among these cheering throngs of deluded children. These kids are our future, and we are doomed.

I wonder how much peoples’ opinions were formed by the pictures of this poor child- he does not look like he’s ‘suffering.’ He looks like an angelic child that is just asleep. I know there are medical yardsticks that measure these things, but I have a family member who’s all, look! That is just a sleeping child and

Here in our new bizarro world Trumpian reality, I would bet that the public support services that could enable this couple to keep and raise their children will someday be a dream that once was. The silver lining would be that there won’t be any social agencies that will take their kids away either, so there’s that.

And how, pray, assuming that the child makes it to the US, will his medical bills be paid? If their 1.3 million is mostly used up just transporting him here, will his bills be paid by Medicaid? You know, that same Medicaid that’s being slashed by 800 gazillion dollars over the next 10 years? That same Medicaid that is

That poor girl. She had to know how awful the consequences were going to be for her- I hope her bravery makes a difference. Much more balls than me.

Two things I always wonder about when I watch those shows:

I subscribed to Sassy for Baby Gothick all the years it was published. And Spy for my ownself. (Which I still have- my stack of Spy magazines are my retirement fund, I hope!)

He is just vile. I have asked myself if I could support him if his governing policies were in line with my own thinking and attitudes, and I conclude that I could not, because he is vile.

Wasn’t there a movie made- Daryl Hannah starred, I’m thinking- ?

Who would have believed for one second that any Trump would have a meeting to help Russian adoptions? That would imply some semblance of humanitarianism. Which no Trump worth his/her name has one iota of.

Here in the sunny South we also have a stupid thing called a sip-n-see, which occurs after the baby comes and you bring presents, sip tea, and see the baby. Ugh. And this after the gender reveal party and the baby shower(s).

I have to attend a big wedding next week, of a dear (progressive) niece. There will be Trumpist family members there (her parents, for starters) and alcohol will be flowing. This may be worse than Thanksgiving, even.

I love love love McMH and would hate to see it shut down! Kate’s satire is brilliant and I really have learned a lot about what is and isn’t good architecture.

I’ve read that the real upper class folks in NYC won’t give him the time of day or invite him to their parties, short-fingered vulgarian that he is (thanks, G. Carter), and it just eats him up alive.
