The second and third teaser images are great crops of design. The first one makes me feel uncomfortable.

I mean, it looks like a base lancer es with an Italian body kit and aluminum bolt-on interior...

It’s just a vibrant color contrast, but normal people wouldn’t think of doing something more interesting with colors on their large investment. Because paying a lot of money for something means that that something has to be serious.

I mean, I wish for that everyday...

Personally, I see it as Mitsubishi’s best all around looking vehicle in a while. I like its shape a lot, the interior looks ergonomic and isn’t pieced together; it looks cohesive. 2.2l and 8speed should account for a very good little crossover.

The dimensions, side profile, size of styling features look so damn close the Yukon/Tahoe now. It genuinely looks like it belongs in GM’s lineup of full size SUVs.

I agree with you on all accounts. I was saying I only can enjoy its rear in black, mostly because it mutes most of the goofy details.

Very fair. I’ve never liked this new rear end in any other color scheme than black. Otherwise it just looks overly dramatic and hotwheels-esque.

It’d probably look better in a different color scheme, but as presented, with those goofy ass angles photographed, I don’t like it. I know it probably isn’t possible, but the roof doesn’t match the shaping and styling of the rear bumper. It appears like a mismatch.
