5th, I’ll say again what I said last time about LIFO.

How did Ford lose 3.1 billion if they have not sold the security. The value has gone down by that much, but they have yet to lose it. As my financial advisor keeps yelling at me, you don’t lose anything until you sell.
1st gear: could be worse.... at least Ford didn’t lose $126B* because their CEO decided to buy a new toy/side gig
$4K OBO (or trade for something pre 1975), that’s what the ad says.
Inflation almost never reverses. So nominal prices won’t go back down. That said, the current situation will eventually change, and car companies (FCA, it’s always FCA) will see the need to sell every last car they can, when they can. Incentives will return, a dealers will have to start... dealing again. It wont…
3rd: “Pricing discipline” is absolutely one of the reasons involved in why I replied the other day that prices are not coming back down again, ever. The new baseline has been set. Getting used to that notion is probably a good idea.
Best intake ever put on a FWD sedan. Period
Now the “Hold my Beer” guy who went after him.....
Being from CA, the first thing I noticed is HOLY SHIT, IT’S STILL GOT THE ORIGINAL PLATES
The seats look terrible, but I figure you could get them re-upholstered at an aftermarket place. I’d also get the engine bay steam cleaned to restore it to at least looking like its original glory:
I was all in until I saw the seats, but figured I could throw a cover over them. With the miles, I’m kind of a coin-flip. It’s probably a reasonable price in April 2022. If something was going to blow up, it probably would have already. And all the recent maintenance gives one confidence.
Damn. I like it, and it’s one of the more interesting cars you will find at this price range, but that’s a lot of miles on a 32 year old Ford. No dice.
When I was in High School my dad had one identical to this as a company car. It was a hoot to drive and I beat the crap out of it (program cars FTW). The seats were fantastic, the side bolsters could be moved in and out for a perfect fit. I would have to say NP, especially in this market.
I decided that for someone who wants a SHO, this must be a good price. My brain says $3k is the right price, but my brain isn’t coping with current car prices well.
That’s an alpha male raptor owner right there. I imagine, if he’s anything like the raptor drivers around here, he was some kind of local football hero 20 years and 50 pounds ago, according to himself.
Yeah, it may not seem like the truck was damaged, but I bet it is. Something is going to leak out fall out sooner than it would normally.
We’re wired that way, otherwise sex wouldn’t work.
I came to the comments to talk shit but after seeing he doesn’t really blame anyone but himself, I can’t really hate on the guy. Was it stupid? yes. Did he acknowledge it was stupid and he didn’t have a clue what he was doing? Also yes.
I’d bet being strapped in much tighter helps too. A contributing factor to this injury was likely that he lifted off the seat some in the air, so not only did the truck hit hard, but he slammed back down in his seat with a lot more leeway for things to have pressure in the wrong places.
Despite seeing all this, another nearly identical Raptor driver decided to do the same launch and had a similarly hard landing.
