I always enjoyed your writing, Bradley. Even when I disagreed with your opinion. Especially when I disagreed with your opinion. Especially when lots of people disagreed with your opinion and you still defended it into the comments. You definitely were not wrong 2,430 times. But you did write 2,430 entertaining posts.

Getting out while you can, can’t fault you for that.

Jesus..that car + kid is likely to equal very bad things.

in what universe are EVs not a proven tech?

1st gear: The richest person i know bought a 2 million new construction rake & scrape 2 years ago in my favorite Denver neighborhood. Last month he bought the old brick bungalow next door for 1 million cause he liked the house and figured he’d come up w/a reason for buying it later. Better to guarantee his neighbors

I’m with you, being sort of an outside observer to Porsche pricing. I don’t know a whole lot.

“Sure it has 158k miles, but it was rebuilt at 80k*

I was on the fence until the “1-inch tear in the canvas” part. That shit didn’t creep up when they went to post the listing, it was there and they couldn’t be bothered to fix it. So what else couldn’t they be bothered with?

Yup. Out of all my seniors, I’d say about a third at most drive/ know how to drive, and that’s been the norm for as long as I’ve taught

Why does a 19 y/o who works at an *auto dealership* not know how to drive? There are surely times when he might need to be actually driving on public streets. Say, for instance, someone needs him to run out to pick up a part or even just grab lunch for everyone. Possessing a valid driver’s license seems like it should

Don’t need a license to drive on private property.

It’s almost like the law was designed this way by... wealthy corporate donors?

Nah, couldn’t be.

...it’s almost as if we live in a nation with precious little respect or protection for regular working people!

Most gas stations near evacuation routes are required to have a generator backup. Even for areas without a generator, there’s usually a station with a transfer switch nearby that has the option to hook up to a portable generator.

If the power is down, you also can’t pump gas at most gas stations, soooo....

On my drive this morning, the cars in front of me in the turning lane were Hyundai Ionic 5, Polestar 2, and Tesla Model 3.  I think the Ionic was the best looking out of the three.

Neutral: Mostly the prices. I know that the average new car selling price is mid-40k, but I’m not looking to spend that much on a depreciating asset. I purchased a brand new 2020 Tiguan 4motion for well under $30k in 2020 and a brand new 2021 Soul for $17k in 2021. I just can see spending the price of 2 cars for one

That’s an interesting take, considering the “polish a turd” comment is exactly what the SRT team said, word for word, during a chat session on the SRT Forums in 2006. At the time, the SRT team would hold monthly chat sessions on the different forums, SRT Neon, Magnum, Charger, Viper.

Hey now... I love my SRT 4. Had it for 13 years, absolutely no problems short of the annoying torque steer. I see over-hyped mustangs, camaros and chargers on every corner and hundreds of foreign brands. I’m not paying 45k for a car. I paid my 26k car off, have had no repair bills and still beat out stock cars at

I’m depressed with the reminder that the Caliber exists, and that some hard working people at SRT had the unenviable task of polishing this turd. They did their best with what they had, no question.
