We’re really there folks. People now feel the need to rebuke Florida Man jokes made on the internet. Go away. It’s a joke. Read it; or don’t.  Laugh; or don’t.  We don’t need your sensitive commentary about a GOD DAMN JOKE.  Jokes are not conversations.

Read the headline and saw the first picture, strong no dice, started reading, vehement no dice, got to the steering wheel pic, “kill it with fire, launch the ashes into space or bury them deep in the ground”

Someone is paying ludicrous amounts of money for cars that have never brought that much before, so the inference is that the bidders are taking ill-gotten gains and paying a premium for cars, which in a cash transaction legitimizes the money because the seller cannot be accused of knowing or held responsible for the

These are your future GOP candidates.

Now that GMC price is just ridiculous. I mean if you are pure GMC fan and hate the new looks of the current GMC truck (pretty much everyone that is not blind) and can see maybe dropping 30-35k for that? It is the last of the non-DEF diesels.

I went to a major football power. The school had a ton of athletic programs. Hockey, field hockey, rugby, gymnastics, wrestling, fencing, lacrosse, swimming, track and field. soccer. etc. These programs were good. Won championships in them level good.

I kinda liked the front. Then I clicked through and saw the back:

Aside from football and basketball, and to a lesser extent baseball and hockey, very few college athletes go on to pay professionally. And even with football and basketball, it’s a very small percentage that go on to play professionally.

The NCAA has relaxed its rules on what college athletes can do for money

I used propane as a replacement for freon in my a/c- was told how dangerous this could be with 8oz of propane in my car- disregarding the sloshing tank of gasoline underneath

My rav4 hybrid can go 450+ miles without refueling. And I use that capacity often because I take multi hour trips a couple of times a month.

This right here. If the infrastructure is there and it’s convenient to charge up, then a 300 mile range isn’t a big deal. Until that happens, EVs won’t be taking over.

Exactly! The need for range drops quickly if you can recharge quickly. Like high single digits quickly. I’d be okay with ‘limited’ range if I can add another 200 miles in 5-10 minutes.

1st gear - um... Gasoline? Literally used in bombs. In just about every car on the road. Pointing out that storing energy is dangerous is like pointing out water is wet.

Why is 600 miles of range critical when we already have 200? Or 300? Couldn’t we really survive with 100?)

Because driving around with ~50L of gasoline isn’t already literally a bomb?

I assume he means models, not total volume.

The Maverick offers the same basic function for way less, and it gets better fuel economy. It’s also built by a brand known for their trucks. I don’t think it should be a surprise it’s selling better.

So what you’re saying is the Santa Cruz sold 8,400 as compared to its most direct competitor, the Ridgeline, at 9,189 - selling almost as much as its competitor that’s been established for a decade or more! Cool.

Looks like a great way to die. 2020'2 modern engine technology with 1920's brake technology.
