If I’m going to be “that asshole in the red BMW convertible, I’d better have gotten it for a bargain. This isn’t one.

They probably know it won’t really matter to their bottom line overall. The greenwashing is just a lazy excuse.
Agreed. Every car is fast now so there isn’t much point to dick waggling. It is about the expreience.
This certainly would scratch an itch left by the loss of the WRX hatch in the US.
too bad civil forfeiture is only used against poor people.
I’m sorry to hear all that but - and I know I’m second guessing you - the dealer seems like the worst place to bring a 15 year old vehicle. Top dollar dealer prices and they probably haven’t seen one in ages. Hell, most of their techs may have never worked on one.
Thanks for posting about B.C. insurance law and procedures; I also find it interesting that his claim has nothing to verify it. I was a auto damage Adjuster in California for several years and the stories I was told.
Good. Maybe they need more blows..(in their face that is)
Hi... Vancouver based claims person here.
1st Gear. One glaring issue people forget about Carmax’s sometimes above market pricing markup, is that the “free” warranty included is in the price and for many, that reassurance makes the process less stressful.
Neutral: not doing so great. Yesterday my van failed NYS inspection and is now sitting on a dealership lot, awaiting $5k in repairs. It’s a 2007 Town & Country and the suspension at all four corners has shit the bed, plus it has a cracked engine mount. Why am I going ahead with sinking that much money into a…
He gets ‘em at Costco in bulk. The only problem is he has to use them all up before they expire, so sometimes you see things like this.
Honda is a decade ahead of the curve. A
I was just in my brother’s Outback. It’s pretty terrible. Beeps non-stop even for people in the back seat.
Faraday Future is, on paper, a car company, though it has never really made a car for production, and for years it’s been unclear why it still exists, though it still gets written about by news organizations, because it does still exist.
I guess NP with today’s prices - BUT - I protest, clean the damn car. Disgusting. Did he just move a load of sheetrock? Bags of cement? When was the last timing belt?
I’m torn on this one. The Element is super reliable and a fantastic formfactor. $6900 today is like $4k in 2019-market-dollars and I would like to think this is a good deal at $4k, thus at $6900 it should be as well, even though I am very resistant to accepting this “new normal”. In this particular car, I would have…
As a former Element owner, I can assure you that there was nothing “fun” about driving this thing. It’s the only car purchase I truly regret and was thrilled to get out of it at a minor loss. And a stick would not improve it at ALL. It’s one of the few truly incompetent Hondas ever made.
How about they investigate having to have the car manufacturers audio system at all? I remember when there were just a few standard sizes and you could put in whatever system you wanted. Now they are so tied in to the car for some you are stuck with the factory system.
I knew the party was over when Google bought Waze, the only real competitor to Google Maps. I guess $1,000,000,000.00 is hard to say no to.
