if its just a single speed i would argue that it’s a gear reduction, not a transmission. Though colloquially they’d probably be called transmissions.

no, that makes you unbelievably hard on your transmission.

no, because they will not change gears unless the human pulls the paddle.

technically speaking, if the transmission can go through all the forward gears without any assistance from the human, its an automatic.

May want to mention that they currently only operate in the UK.  Seems pretty important.

i missed it this year but my group of friends and I have a 7-year ticketless streak. and we would like to keep it that way. Not everyone who shows up are tools. But I do admit it is humorous to watch the tools that are there get hammered by the cops.

not to be a debbie downer, but how do you know that this is the actual engine?  it sounds somewhat edited and like it could have just been recorded off an older engine.  There’s no video to link it to a dyno run or driving.
