something tells me those guys aren't afraid to run adapters...

My take?

to be fair, back then before HD it was kinda hard to see the puck depending on how far the cameraman was zoomed out. I could tell where it was but then again i played and could tell where the players were looking to figure out where the puck was.

I'm thinking insurance fraud. The fact that its on video each time makes me suspicious.

safety and speed will always trounce comfort. tho this cooling thing falls more under safety than comfort.

consider yourself lucky. NY is stealth-mode all the timez.

Brilliant analysis.

I think this is where we interpret things differently. You said earlier you wrote this as a narrative. The way you outlined it above is not a narrative. Breaking the argument down into the different contextual situations is a logical way to go about it but it lacks the flow of a narrative. Perhaps using section

Yes i read the piece like the rest of yours. I just think they sometimes come off as more of a circular statement of facts as opposed to narratives.

Tyler,

According to the interview from Racer.com, they did NOT rebuild the thrashed chassis. They built a new one entirely from scratch.

if you're watching closely, a lot of the laps the car is actually one or two gears lower than what Kristensen is saying. That indicates that these guys are having trouble getting the braking right. in addition there's a lotta locking up and even some sideways action so i'm guessing that these guys may have been

Weirdness Exhibit A is that the dealers are a bit strangely placed. I know that I live in New York, so New York City must be The End-All And Be-All And Also The Center Of The Universe And There Is No Place Greater, but it is a bit odd that the one of the most populous states in the Union just gets one Alfa dealership

Consider yourself lucky that Qdoba gave you free guac. It aint free at the one in Hoboken...

I agree with you to some extent. The problem lies with the DSGs. If i understand you correctly you would classify a DSG VW GTI as a manual because it has clutches instead of a torque converter. However, i see it as an automatic because even though the transmission has clutches, they are "automatically" controlled.

You may want to look at automatic transmissions again. They do have distinct gear ratios. the torque converter is simply used to switch between the games.

But the DCT has an auto mode as well. therefore, automatic.

My research showed that when BMW says SMG, what the actually mean is the transmission is the same as the Manual version but it uses an electronic clutch and solenoid to automate the function of "clutch-in, shift, clutch-out". unfortunately since it also has a mode which enables the driver to become hands-off and the

You mean like this guy? I would technically consider this a manual personally.

i stand re-re-corrected. Turns out the E36 SMG had an automatic mode. Which leads me to believe the newer versions probably do as well. If thats the case; auto. sorry bro.
