It’s about your favorite cars, Jason.

If the fee allowed you to simply drive to the pickup gate and wait there, this might not be a total chalky dick up the wazoo.

Cheap ride? Help you get back on your feet? Your mom?!

Almost every car I’ve ever owned has been American except for my 2005 Legacy GT wagon. I very much enjoyed that car, it was very quick for what it was and handled surprisingly well. More importantly it was tons of fun! I don’t understand why so many people these days only chase the numbers and the not the feeling the

VW is so tone deaf in the US it’s amazing they still sell them here. They make a great truck - but not sold in the US. They make the Californian, basically the Westy we want in the US, but no, not for us. And now the T-Roc is a no go.

Having poured babbitt bearings, this article doesn’t make me just feel old... it makes me feel positively ancient.

In David’s defense, you can’t find mechanics to rebuild carbs anymore. There, generally, isn’t profit in FIXING things any more.

It depends entirely on the car and PO. You’ve got a few combinations to think about:

Except they’re also having issues with speculation on the customer side. Porsche is trying to make sure people are buying the cars to actually drive them. That’s not a dealer issue. You can tell it’s not, because they have the same issue in other countries.

German ECU meeting:

$6 is too fucking much for a sandwich...for $6, I could buy a loaf of artisan bread, shredded American, and a pound of turkey. Twice.

To be fair, it probably doesn’t smell like urine.

You’d be surprised how many FCA recalls are of the “install tape and zip-tie” type...

NHTSA did it.

When my wife said that a 3rd row was a “must have” in our next vehicle was when I insisted that we were getting a minivan. It is the only vehicle where a 3rd row is actually functional, particularly when you put two car seats in the second row.

Thank you

Like some models you cannot even get without a third row ( i think all Volvo SUVs have them)
Not everyone has a gaggle of kids to ferry.

More reality checks on three-row seating:

I am a reasonably tall 5'10, when I visit my parents and there’s more than 5 of us I get booted to the back of my mom’s XC90 and it’s rather comfortable back there.

I’ve never missed the 3rd row I don’t have in my Treg. I like having a spare tire (and onboard inflation compressor).

agreed, I think the 3rd row as a must have is starting to fade. As you mention many of them are uncomfortable for all but children and when folded they reduce cargo space significantly. Really people looking for a three row who are practical end up at a minivan instead.
