I don’t get it, Patrick.

Wish I had the money. 84K mile. $4900
I mostly drive discontinued early 90s vehicles, and every time something breaks it gets harder to source parts. Whenever I get sick of it and think about getting something newer, I see something like this article.
I’m with you on that one. The last thing I want in my car is for the ICE to be interrupted by some black box:
No! Bad Cadillac! *swats company on nose with rolled-up newspaper* NO! *rubs company’s nose in a pile of Cimarron articles* Bad, no!
Ford product tho
Want to mention that the door seal trick works. BMW had an issue with door seals on some cars and that was the forum solution when the dealership would waste owners’ time.
This door seal trick is really genius - thanks!
Well, now I think I can finally quiet down the cab of my truck. That’s a great idea.
This is the kind of thing you go to the laundromat for.
You just made my day.
I’ve been scrolling through the comments hoping to find a post just like this. Thank you for sharing! David surely has put some spark back into the XJ community!
Brand new cars leaked oil and rattled and squeaked, nothing was ever sorted.

I will share a quote from my wife today:
I used to like to think, “Nobody could be that stupid”, but my forty-odd years dealing with this species has long since disabused me of that notion.
It’s also everyone’s duty to avoid being maimed if they are able to do so. If you are going to walk in front of a moving car you may not deserve to get hit, but you’re gonna get hit.
This reminds me of what my structures professor would pontificate on (well, when he wasn’t calling us idiots and screaming YOURE DOOMED before the tests). He’d go on a long monologue of being a pedestrian in multiple countries. Some countries favor drivers, others favor pedestrians and sometimes he’d forget which he…
Poor abused apostrophes. What did they ever do to you?
