I’m glad someone caught on ;)

I know these companies are in the business to make money, but this crossover thing is getting tiresome and ridiculous. Seriously. A sea of copycats and sameness.

That’s because the authors/editors keep framing it as awesome and everybody so strongly wants to be cool and hip with them. You honestly think the Miata or wagons are that popular? Nope. It’s just a meme.

It’s the national pastime.

I think I need to convince my wife to start driving our Subaru more and I need to get to work on her 2.5L 5-cyl Golf post haste.

Can we get the national media to stop reporting these? They do nothing for anyone, other than advertise the perpetrator. Being aware of the situation is only helpful for locals. Knowing about it nationally does not help prevent anything, and only serves to heighten fear, and drive advertising/viewership. In fact, I

When I saw that part, I was incredibly confused. It’s so short-sighted. We should be doubling down on the oil reserves now while oil is as cheap as its been for years. Selling it when oil is cheap kind of defeats the purpose of it.

In a few hundred years a history student is going to have a fascinating paper on how the US spent trillions of dollars destroying other people’s highways and infrastructure while watching theirs slowly dissolve back at home.

Fuck the haters, this is a gorgeous car.

You do know that ‘gate’ isn’t Latin for ‘scandal’ right? Cut the shit.

Chrysler doesn’t really have a history of bad transmissions. They have a history of bad mechanics selling people new transmissions when they just need a solenoid changed.

I get overwhelmed with sadness when I walk through a pick-a-part and see rare cars I never find on Craigslist.

If these things are as bad as they’re made out to be, maybe we should let them go “overseas” (ie, to ISIS) sans armor, and with hidden GPS units, or take a few over there and let them “capture” them. That way we can track them and be ready to strike when they inevitably break down. Hell, we could plan the breakdowns.

The cars are still 100% functional. They weren’t defrauded. They were sold a vehicle that worst case now may not get the same mpg it use to have.

I think they’ve managed to finesse both balls and scrotum up VW’s internal affairs. I think they're dancing taint to taint at this point.
