I honestly believe those have the potential to be the next Panther platform. Sorted out due to age, fairly easy to work on, rear wheel drivetrain (RWD biased for AWD), fairly cheap and plentiful.

Having owned an FJ80 (which actually had better interior quality than the 100) and driven FJ100, I’ve got to insist the 100's interior is pretty mediocre. Reminded me of my early 00s Sienna interior, which was also mediocre.

Nice XK! Is it steel blue metallic? I can’t quite tell. If so, mine is the same color with the saddle interior. Truly, a DD for all sexes.

I believe the CRD was only offered overseas. That said, it seems to be fairly well regarded in its respective markets.

Nope. They’re equipped with the beefy, reliable 545RFE. Personally, that’s one of my favorite features of an XK. I mean, how many regular duty transmissions have not only the standard pan filter, but also a spin-on cartridge filter for the transmission cooler lines?

I’m probably going to get flamed for this, but I’m absolutely convinced that the XK (in V8 guise only) is the poor man’s alternative to an FJ100 onward. It offers comparable luxury and refinement in the Limited or Overland trims, a 4x4 drivetrain that easily meets or exceeds the FJ in terms of performance, and similar…
