Three years ago last December, at about 3:00 a.m., one of our four dogs got hit by a car. (I was going to say “four girls” like we do at home, but realized that it would sound even worse!) We drove her forty miles to the nearest 24 hr. animal hospital and steeled ourselves for the worst. She had severe head trauma, a

I was going to point out the Care Credit option as it’s how I deal with pet care emergencies or larger bills that I don’t want to deal with right now. I pay it all off within the set time frame of no interest and still manage to save money along the way. Also, some agreements are for 12 months! I now have one vet bill

Hell yes! Anya knows what time it is.

This was exactly what I was going to recommend for vet (or some medical, as not all Docs will take them) emergencies. We have used this several times over the years.

Yes 25 basis points isn’t a big deal and if at any point, however brief, interest rates go down you can always refinance into a lower rate with lower years so you are not starting back over again. Last year I refinanced into a 15 year. You don’t have to that the lender will have different terms.

We still have ridiculously low interest rates, an extra 25 basis points isn’t going to be that big of a deal and in the next 10-15 years if you still have that loan it will likely be looking pretty good.

I prefer cold coffee. I have a coffee maker with an iced setting and definitely will drink on a full pot for a day or two. Recently my husband has just been pouring me a cup out of the pot he makes before leaving for work at night and leaves it by the bed. It’s not always great but it’s nice to wake up and already

Agreed. I just add some milk and an ice cube and enjoy a nice tall glass of poor man’s cold brew.

I always brew some extra and put it in the fridge for the next morning, dump a scoop of vanilla protein powder in for a nice preworkout drink.

In ~2001 the admin password for the school next over was TeamWork. I can’t remember if it was actually capitalized or not. NT4 stuff, where security was an afterthought.

You may expect the struggle, but never, ever accept the struggle.

I do love the screen-saver-like visuals of the apps they run. In the future, all apps will basically be warez animations, right?

Which one was the one where the hacker gets head while hacking?

That one is the most influential to me.

I use a few power bars (larabar) and lots of water, but basically this.

My problem is I drink too much on long haul flights and, not being able to sleep on an airplane, it ruins me.

I don’t quite fast, but I do go extremely light while I travel. I keep enough protein in me to keep me sated through nuts, but for the most part, it’s water and the odd coffee.

I brought this up to her and her solution is “we can just not have sex ever again.”

I’ve traveled globally my whole life and I STILL despise public bathrooms. I usually keep the eating light (small and plain sandwiches, salads, water only, etc.) until I get to wherever I’m staying. My go to emergency snack that I carry with me if there are no good options is granola w/ dried fruit.
