Is his side of the guests going to only consist of his parents and you? If there are others then your boyfriend should have been invited.

That’s true but rapists don’t seem to usually only have 1 victim. While 1 person might have trouble getting her assault prosecuted, several victims testifying about several assaults taking place over 10-20 years might get justice. If there’s a statute of limitation could their cases be brought up?

Is it also too late for a civil case? Sometimes the maximum allowed in small claims court isn’t so bad and it costs very little to use that option.

I’m sorry this happened to you. As you know, I follow you and I wouldn’t if you were a jerk to other commenters. Your comments are always interesting and fair. Until recently I didn’t even know that this “ don’t get so argumentative, POC” thing had a name: tone policing. It’s annoying and rude.

I try to do the same, it’s a good strategy and saves tons of time and grief.
