It’s like Toyota’s plant is downstream from whatever they’re putting in the water over at Honda’s Civic plant.
I hate everything about this trend. Japanese cars used to be subtle and stylish. Now they look like an APC parts catalog.
I’m right there with you. Personally I haven’t seen a Toyota design that I thought looked good since the NFSU 1 era.
I can’t stand this. It rivals the new civic for stupid fake vents and pointless swoops. I think this is offensively hideous.
Everyone that wants to tell me how wrong I am, you may now commence.
They could have done the same with an 80's Civic and it would’ve made a lot more sense.
We’re pretending the Fiero had a “bulletproof” drivetrain now?
This seems like an excessively dickish comment in response to what’s basically a Seinfeld opening-scene joke.
I forgot that everyone on the internet was American. How silly of me.
Count me in camp “They’ll fuck it up.”
Theeeeere it is.
Didn’t even have to scroll down three comments before I found the douchebag that thinks cranking out a few accidents as a teenager qualifies them to be the next Dr Spock.
I’m convinced Honda deliberately spites the US market.
You’re as liberal as Ted Nuget, you bullshit concern-troll.
Nothing about this article was in “tiny print”. The comparison was not hidden, disguised, or otherwise deceptive in any way. It was extremely forthcoming about it’s flaws and how it’s on-it’s-face ridiculous.
If you think the literal actual text of this article is somehow “tiny print”, that really that says more about…
I don’t think most of those 4door shortbeds are 4x4s, though.
If only Torch had painstakenly and pre-emptively tried to address that this was a ridiculous comparison from the start.
Oh, wait, he did. You didn’t read past the headline.
grats on still bein’ alive
something something but muh carriage isn’t a car
Those routes are often still cheaper than air freight when it comes to cargo. The bulk of rail cars carry cargo now, not people.
(Acela is mostly people, though.)
Three Amtrak derailments in what, two months?
But yeah Amtrak doesn’t need any more funding. In fact, we should continue further cutting it’s already tiny budget. Surely that will prevent future catastrophes.
What federal budget category do you think Amtrak gets it’s maintenance money from?
THAT’S WHAT IT IS.
I love Doug, and had been reading his articles for years before I saw his first video, and the videos have always struck me as slightly weird.
That’s exactly what it is. If he’s not sitting in the cabin, he’s squinting. Bro needs some shades or something.
