Right? Did they go around the room the first day and declare dietary preferences?

Oh my god, that’s funny. Nothing says “I am a strong, confident man” like intentionally hurting yourself just because there are lots of women around you. Also, I find it really hard to believe that every single woman in the program was vegetarian or vegan.

That all meat diet really did assert Blunt’s masculinity; that is some stubborn dumb bullshit.

I’m unsure what I think about her, and the podcast didn’t help.

If an adult, parental figure in someone’s life had been giving them alcohol since they were 12 or 13, and they developed a dependence on it and got a fake ID when they were 16 and started going around to neighborhood bars that served them thanks to the fake ID, I don’t think we’d have any trouble seeing that person as

She was a sixteen year old victim of sexual abuse performing in pornography. It is possible to recognize that, due to her successfully obtaining a legitimate ID, the people involved in allowing her to perform were acting in good faith without smearing her as some vicious scammer. Again, she was sixteen. It is a

Ugh, that podcast sounds really gross and victim-blamey. I always like Lords during her later acting career.

Or what about this? She was both scammer and victim? She was sixteen when the age of consent was eighteen. This law exists because sixteen-year-olds cannot consent to sex with adults, cannot enter contracts, cannot do many things that require adult reasoning (which, of course, many adults don’t use).

Oh yeah. Lords was a victim who was lucky enough to escape alive. The fact that almost 40 years later society still wants to hang a “little slut who fooled us” sign on her says volumes.

this podcast has a single review lol... hopefully it’ll continue with that level of traction

I follow Traci on insta and she’s a real delight. She’s busy af in her own fun businesses and appears to have moved on and happy. I wish people would stop giving her so much hate and picking on her when she was obviously a victim.

Congratulations. Now they just have to have two more kids so that they can start their own tiny, sibling band.

The press (me) says: We’re not taking assignments from Jameela Jamil at the moment.

I think it’s just because she sounds posh in the good place.

Let’s be clear about this phenomenon. Somebody with authority makes a bad decision (hey, let’s whitewash another part and cast Scarlett Johansson). The news breaks mentioning the famous person’s name, not the name of the person with authority. People making public posts on social media know that it would take effort

Agreed.  It’s another example of an outspoken brown woman being held to a higher standard than the mostly white people commenting about her.

But once that was cleared up, the drama still continued. The tone of the piece certainly isn’t very sympathetic to Jameel, for an error that’s most certainly not hers. And why didn’t the House Mother who auditioned for the show tweet at any of the other two non-Voguers hired for the show?

Because this site hates her for some unknown reason.  God knows they’ve given other women of color a pass for far more problematic things.

But also, why is there only drama re: Jameela Jamil? She’s one of four people hired to judge/host the show, the other three being Megan Thee Stallion, Law Roach, and Leiomy Maldonado, of which only Maldonado has a background in voguing. The other two are a rapper and stylist.
