I have a friend who puts the seat heater on high as soon as it gets below 15C outside. I always found it weird since the highest setting feels like you’re sitting in an oven. I don’t want to feel like someone is trying to make bacon out of my ass.

Agreed. I just got the MK7.5 R and I’m glad I didn’t wait for the MK8. That front grill really doesn’t look good and it’s way too plain.
Another good reason to buy a manual car. This will never happen. Actually, most people wouldn’t even know how to put it in reverse.
Ford Aspire, mk4 golf, Tiguran (drove it 1 year, hated it), Mk7 GTI, Mk7.5 Golf R.
Farmers carry are a great way to add in grip exercise outside of deadlift. Slowly working toward heavier weight there can help reduce the need for the straps.
Not an STI, but my Golf R did go sideway this morning and it was quite fun. First snow with this car (and 4 wheel drive) so I got to learn how it handles snow. Conclusion: I’m gonna love winter!!
I can actually fit 2 in there. One on the back seat, the other in the trunk (without the cover of course)
My Newfoundland recently got a new ride. He now gets transported to his family reunion and appointment with professional in a Golf R.
You’re absolutely right. They got me with that line and I probably should have done things differently. However, at the end of the day I managed to get out of a bad deal by getting into a different car when the opportunity came up. I mean paying 1.5x the price for a GTI wasn’t a really good idea.
The trade in for the car was equal to the loan left to pay, even if the car was valued at 23k and the loan was at 28k.
Reread it. they rolled the 5k on the GTI lease. then 4 years later they cleared the rest of the GTI lease so I could get into an R.
Well yeah ok, that’s what they told me lol
I did exactly that mistake when going from a Golf to a Tiguan (4 year lease). Drove the Tiguan for a year and barely put 3k km on it cause I hated how it felt to drive it.
I had a 2002 Golf for 12 years and it was already much much better than my dads old 1995 Golf in terms of reliability. I also had a Mk7 2015 GTI and never had any issue.
I guess we can say that he’s going through another Stormy patch.
I have a friend in a different country that is going through though times at home. Like your husband, I know there are limitation to what I can do to help her being so far away. However for the past couple years we’ve been talking over text message almost daily. Sometimes I don’t really hear from her for a couple days…
Couple paragraph later:
I got mine in black with the “black styling” package: black wheels and “carbon fiber” mirror cap.
I don’t plan on doing any mods for a while so I’m not too worried about the clutch at this time. I’ll still keep an eye on it though. Can’t ever be too safe.
I’m sure it will come back to me quickly. I’ll just have to pay attention when leaving, especially since I’m picking it up at 4:30 so I’ll be in the middle of “traffic” (if we can consider what we get around Ottawa as traffic)
