yup. All of them were available if I had wanted to order one but I’m a sucker for black cars and they had one in stock with the black rims...

Exact same reason I’m getting mine as a manual tomorrow. What options did you take if any?
Surprisingly enough the dealer near my house seems to have a lot of manual in stock at all time. They probably had just received a new shipment cause some of the cars still had the white wrap on them but I had a quick look at the lot and they had about equal numbers of manual and DSG.
I was a bit surprised that they still offered it to be honest. Now I’m both really looking forward to tomorrow and also a bit anxious since I haven’t driven manual in 4.5 years lol
I tend to agree with your assessment. I drove the DSG GTI for 4.5 years and it’s an amazing transmission. However, I found that there is 1 very specific event where it really gets annoying.
Definitely is, at least in Canada. Not sure if the US has different setup.
In 2014 I bought a MK7 GTI with the DSG.
I wonder if this is linked in any way to the electric version that will be introduced soon. One of the I.D cars really look like a good replacement for the base Golf.
I’ll keep buying gas on Thursday where Supreme (93) is 3 cents lower per liter and the same price as 91. It’s only 1.5$ per tank but it adds up over the year.
Yeah some film came with pre-attached trailer but usually 1 or 2. My cinema loved to put up to 5 trailers so we had to pad with left-over trailers. We only sent trailers back when the movie started playing so we had a ton of backups available. It was nice though that it only took a couple minute to remove and splice in…
Actually there are a couple of horror movies currently playing. It might just be that the employee programmed the trailers that should have gone into one of those movies in the wrong room.
I used to be a projectionist when the cinemas still used 35mm reals and this happened to us as well. It was usually because of an error when un-mounting the movie. It’s quite easy to tag the wrong trailer with the tag of a different one or to miss the cut-off between 2 trailer and roll both together.
That’s just because it’s over 0 C and we are Canadian.
I average 10k km/year. Would take me 100 years to get to 1 millions km or 160 years for 1mil miles.
People who stop on an on-ramp or light with a dedicated right turn lane and then proceed to wait there because they can’t merge with traffic.
I was driving to work in the middle of a freezing rain storm. I’m driving at around 20km/h on the backroads when I see a bunch of flashing lights on the road in front of me. Just as I’m about to reach the cop that are on the side helping a car that lost control, I see a firetruck dealing with another car on its roof,…
There are many carpool lanes in the Gatineau / Ottawa area and you cannot drive in them with an EV unless you meet the required passenger number. I wish it was the case, I’d probably buy an EV just so I can finally use those lane (legally at least)
18 year old me tried to do an oil change without looking up how to do an oil change.
Canadian here trying to understand why the south is burning.
I used to do something like this on the cinema screen when I was a projectionist. Plugged my laptop on the digital projector (the one we used for the preshow since we were still using 35mm projector at the time). Always fun to see people coming into the room and seeing a game of Unreal Tournament being played in an…
