I am all for stronger regulations against foreign countries collecting and storing data (we really need EU-style laws that force US data to stay in the US), but given the backers and authors here, I have to wonder what other unrelated nonsense they’ve managed to bury in this bill.

As much as I love Sony, this is just just a fact.

Mom! Dad! STOP FIGHTING!!!

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy defended the company’s decision by saying that Amazon has hundreds of millions of customers and some of them are nazis and that access to nazi material must be respected.

Nobody knows this movie exists... and if they did, they had no idea it was coming out over Thanksgiving week... and if they did, they had no idea what the movie was about.

I guess you can take rich white guy out of apartheid, but you can’t take the apartheid out of the rich white guy.

How about we stop giving handouts to the private regional monopolies that created this problem and nationalize all critical infrastructure BEFORE we start throwing dollars at it? That includes fundamentals like power, water, health care, and internet service. We should NEVER tolerate monopolies and we should never

Didn’t 2 & 3 get shot at the same time? I thought the plan was for Avatar 2 this year and Avatar 3 next year. That makes $2 billion collectively a lot easier to achieve, since each film would need to gross over $1 billion independently.

I played through the whole thing on PC starting on launch day and never encountered a single bug. In fact, it was about the most polished day 1 release I’ve seen in years. It also has built-in native ultrawide support, so double kudos to the developers for properly supporting PC gamers.

Onoma / SE Montreal was a mobile-centric studio, so it makes business sense to shift away from that and redistribute/consolidate the talent to other studios that focus on more profitable franchises. There was a lot of excellent talent in that studio, and it sounds like they want to preserve the talent, if not the

Right!? I remember telling people this on the playground. “You know you can just restart the same world, right?”

My information is very old, but back during the initial rollout, there was exactly ONE death caused by an allergic reaction to a vaccine. Allergic reactions are the primary risk factor for many (if not most) vaccines, which is why they ask about certain allergies beforehand and make you wait 30 minutes sometimes after

Deleted my Twitter Terrorister account today. 😔

They’re also 250% more expensive than they should be.

I would argue that The Thing is exceptionally faithful. Remember that being faithful doesn’t mean filming exactly what is on the page, you have to make changes for the medium, runtime, etc. What makes it faithful is whether it successfully preserves the themes, messages, and characterizations that make a story

There was recently an interview with George RR Martin and Neil Gaiman where they discuss “unauthentic” and “illegitimate” adaptations. While The Witcher hasn’t gone full blown unauthentic yet, it has flirted with it constantly. It’s clear that they don’t fully understand or respect the characters, which is a major
