I was sold until I saw the price. Why are Kickstarters these days exactly double the price I expect?

I requested my data. Once I have that, I’m deleting my account. I will not associate with terrorist enablers like Musk, or the terrorists he is now enabling.

Given how Paradox nailed CK3 - a followup to a game that was bursting at the seams with content - I had very high hopes for Victoria 3.

But this is not the first review (nor the 10th, 11th, or 12th) that has complained about the extremely thin veneer that V3 wears. The game doesn’t have the depth, complexity, or

Microsoft’s quality control on these gamepads makes a raging dumpster fire seem like a quaint birthday candle. I’ve been through half a dozen Elites and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM has had major issues. I love the feel of the things, but they are so unreliable it’s incredible.

To be fair, Google botched Stadia like they do all their products. They make great things, then they blow it when it comes to launching, marketing, and maintaining them. Google also has a reputation for killing off products, so there would naturally be a lot of resistance to “buying” games on their platform; because

I guess I’ll wait for the director’s cut. I’m not interested in a movie that’s been compromised based on the opinions of puritans, pearl-clutchers, and literal priests. I really, really wish we could abolish the MPAA.

This final episode really emphasized what a horrible show this was.

Did they fix ultrawide support yet? And by that, I mean did they stop deliberately and intentionally hiding half of the screen for the ultrawide users.

SCOTUS in its current form is an illegitimate right-wing fiat cabal. If they rule wrong on this, it will create a major constitutional crisis in which states like California will effectively be required to disregard the ruling to prevent the widespread collapse of creative industries.

I’d actually be okay with a reboot of Hellraiser. Make it a limited series that combines the first and second movies, while fleshing out the hell realm(s).

This is really about the algorithms that disseminate content, not the content itself. Companies SHOULD be held responsible for their algorithms and they SHOULD be on the hook for content targeting and promotion if their algorithms are responsible.

Not that anyone asked for my opinion, but here’s my two cents:

Media companies should NOT be responsible for user-generated content. However, if they use algorithms that promote dangerous content, then they should ABSOLUTELY 100% be held responsible for any content they promote.

Adelstein got played. That’s all there is to it. Poker is as much a game of psychology as it is odds, and he totally played into Lew’s hands. Being such a poor sport and sore loser should get him banned from future competition.

Dune couldn’t get me into a theater.

Aww, are the fragile little snowflakes upset about... *checks notes*... a black woman playing a flute...?

So far, I’ve found Stable Diffusion to be a mind-blowingly powerful part of a more comprehensive workflow... but it’s more of an alternative to stock art sources than a complete artist. I’ll generate pieces of things I need in SD, pull those into Photoshop (sometimes after upscaling with RealESRGAN), and compose from

I’m going to stick with Stable Diffusion and the many, many open source tools and GUIs made for it - all running on my own hardware for no extra cost and with no AI censor overzealously hiding half the images generated for “squirrel turtle on a mushroom, prized photo, national geographic”.

Doubly so if it’s being buried/censored/destroyed for political reasons. I don’t think this is really debatable.

My electric bill last month was over $700. Something needs to be done about energy prices in this state.

I haven’t used AMD parts since... god, ATI was still around. But given both Intel and Nvidia’s unconscionable and unjustifiable price-gouging, and AMD’s impressive leaps and bounds in performance and reliability, my next build is definitely going to be all-in AMD.
