Two years ago, I got severely, awfully sick (probably the flu). I didn’t go to work for the entire week. It was all I could do just to keep myself drinking liquids and soup and shuffling to bed. The Single White Female frenemy is the worst kind of frenemy. I haven’t had that done to myself, but I’ve watched that happen to two friends of mine. It was messssssssy.

I’ve dealt with this too. I think most of us have. It’s a hard truth of life that just because someone is nice to us doesn’t mean their actually our friend. I used to share my life with people at work too. I stopped doing that.

Ahhhhh this woman is like the two most recent work besties I had combined that I describe in my post (pending), and then some. Yeah, I learned my lesson. No work friends.

I disagree frenemies is strictly a feminist thing. I think a frenemy is anyone who wants to be your friend, or is at least acting that way, but really doesn’t have your best interests at heart. This can be deliberate or from a lack of self-awareness.

I just broke up with my oldest friend this week, and these comments are making me feel a whole lot better about not having her in my life.
