100 series - the next generation got the V8s
If it was a rolling heap it would be worth $2,500 at least. It’s the market for LCs
This one is on the fence for me. 80s are going to keep going up and are great trucks. The engine is pretty indestructible, but gearboxes can go around this mileage as well as kind of everything else.
Go to ih8mud for your 100 series needs David. There is even a thread over there about values. But, I’d say around $8500-10K. Lexus in 100 land is a 20% knock on value compared to the Land Cruiser sister. I also guarantee you will regret it as the 100s are getting to bottom of market values now and you should have at…
You’d like an Alltrack/Sportwagen/GTI a lot better as it would be actually fun to drive :) I love my Alltrack it is an almost perfectly put together car. If they offered the 2.0T in it [or for me the VR6 with a stick as I prefer naturally aspirated motors] I daresay it would be perfect.
Or I probably should have looked closer at the wheel in the pic :)
They altered it after seeing the hammering it was starting to take on Jalop at the original pricetag
No wagon in this era of Passat. It was milquetoast-US-Spec built to bare minimum cost to try to steal sales from Honda and Toyota, which it very much did not.
Interestingly, the seller has posted an “as highlighted on Jalopnik!” update on the ad
This Passat was specifically made for North America [maybe even just USA, not sure if Canada got it and don’t think Mexico did]. RoW Passats are much nicer, this one was designed to a plasticky price specifically to compete with Camry and Accord.
Too much small niggling shit with this one to pass the sniff test. Whilst it is a very rare combo with the stick, it gives off the vibe of a European taxi and will not drive sportily even with the stick. I’m not sure how poorly you have to treat the vinyl to make it craze and crack that center armrest, but the stuff…
This isn’t as bad as a tosser that puts ///M badges all over their grocery spec Bimmer or AMG badges on a C320, but it’s reeeeeeeal close. RUF badges are reserved for RUF cars, period. RUF wheels? Cool, leave the badges on the centercaps. But the hood and decklid? Come the F on.
I think Spanfucker actually wants to force you to stay on the site so embedded links no longer work, so you have to drag, copy, paste to get out of his sphincter garden
I’ll reply in thread to your comment instead of starting my own, since Kinja is, as predictably as the sun rising, totally fucked up again. I could see someone interested in these going for it as $800 is probably worth less than parting it out if that’s what the ultimate fate is if it cannot run right.

Being the Trump of Formula 1 must be...something
The 100 series runs from 98-07, though in 06-07 they added VVTi
Epic
They really are wonderful trucks. I had a 62 and now have my eyes on a 100 series and will likely keep it forever. There is so much they do so well, and if you need the space and seating there is little else like a Land Cruiser out there.
